Jerry clarifies himself on the proposed Micah for Quinnen trade

Won’t be shocked if the GB 1 ends up their 2nd and/or 3rd Round pick(a)
As long as we're talking top of 2nd, top of 3rd.

Otherwise, we should just take 2 first rounders. We can watch GP and QW highlight reels on Friday and see what everyone else does.

If it makes you feel any better, I can guarantee you that nobody's 2nd + 3rd round picks are going to be better than QW + GP.

It's the 2nd that we are going to miss on draft day..

Well... I guess I don't speak for everyone.. lol

I'm going to miss......
Don't worry they will trade back and look at everyone like they outsmarted everything and then draft 2-3 bums. Giving up Micah for 2 late first rounders was insanely stupid.

I said this in another thread, imagine if Dallas can flip one of their 1sts for Maxx Crosby this offseason after all.

That would mean, in essence, Dallas traded Micah Parsons for Quinnen Williams, Maxx Crosby, and Kenny Clark. Which would be pretty wild.
Micah was worth 2 firsts and a mid-level player. You'd never get Crosby for only a first. Plus, his contract is attractive at the same amount Jerry could have paid Parsons following his 3rd year. The Cowboys did well to salvage Jerry's idiocy if they can keep Clark AND go get an impact defensive free agent. If. Still need that consistent pass rusher though.

Which is exactly what I said when it first came out.

I knew there was no way he offered Micah and a first for Williams and it was likely he meant Micah for Williams and a first back from the Jets.
Well, just like I thought we would be absurd to trade Micah and a first for Quinnen, I think the Jets would have been just as stupid to give up Quinnen and a third for Micah. I think the trade that ultimately worked out was fair value. If anything, we got Quinnen for less than we should have. Stud 3-techs don't grow on trees.

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

I'll repeat right up front that I'm glad Parsons is gone. That being said - I think the trade was good for both teams. It goes much deeper for Dallas than Green Bay. It was a painful way to improve, but sometimes you gotta take a controversial path to success.

Pssst. Crosby is not leaving the Raiders.

He is that team's heart and soul. I get a lot of Raider games where I live -- they stink, but Crosby is an absolute beast and very much the heart and soul of that team. That team and their fans live for guys like that.
