What does benton 3 weeks into the season have to do with anything?
Benton who was the roommate of Ferguson at Wisconsin looks to be a better player than Smith so far. I liked him in the draft. He was taken in the 2nd round.

It's week 3. Him looking better as a 2 rookies means less than nothing.

Outstanding is an absolute, something or someone is either outstanding or it/they is/are not. Nothing can be "very outstanding". As for Mazi, we're
3 games in, give him a chance for goodness sake.

I wonder if he’s sending a message to Quinn to play the guy more. 12 snaps a game isn’t enough to develop anyone.

Is “very outstanding “ even grammatically correct? IDK, skipped most of those courses….

LOL. It is interesting wording. He didn't say dominant, or great, or all-pro, or anything like that. Outstanding or very outstanding is lower than those adjectives. But, I would take outstanding for the middle of this defense. I just don't want him discouraged from taking another DT if he has the chance.

There will never, or rarely, be a Jalen Carter or Quinnen Williams type DT at the bottom of the draft.

And by the way, I also like how Keeanu Benton looks in Pittsburgh. He gets push in the middle of the DL. If he progresses as a player, he could be a force in the future.

Jerry has never failed to talk-up any of their players…well…except for maybe Amari Cooper.
