Jerry for Nfl Commissioner?

I think he could have success there, but he wouldn't want to stop being an owner. I like him as our owner instead.

I Would Think He Could But Does He Want Too?

I dunno. Jerry is used to making money and turning that money into $***loads of money... I wouldn't want to see the NFL go from cable to pay per view.

All they have to do is look at the exhilarating world of boxing to see why that's a bad idea.

no joke SP... back in the day, I used to watch ABC wide world of sports and see great bouts all the time... Ken Norton, George Forman, Muhammad Ali, Larry Holmes, Thomas Hearns, Roberto Duran... etc etc... now it's a whopping fifty bucks to see the same ol' same ol' one bout and three scrub bouts... Nowadays I could care less.

Its kind of hard to tell which one of three great TV sports have gone farther down the toilet: Hockey, Boxing or Indy Car Racing.

Horse racing

Horse racing still gets good ratings and is around about as much as it ever was. The other three are pretty much gone.

how old is jerry?...he seems to be bit old to take over as commish, also would he haveto sell the team...i doubt he'd do that

I guess, I always felt like people used to make a bigger deal out of it though. Might just feel like that because of the Preakness today though:D

I would definately have to say boxing then.

Indy car without a doubt. They have lost the connection with the fans when they split in to two league not to mention no one knows they drivers anymore.

Drivers would rather go to NASCAR where the fans and competition are. Indy car screwed the pooch.

The only Indy car race worth a dang or even shown nowadays is the Indy 500... NASCAR rules the airwaves nowadays... I'm not sure if I've seen any other Indy race except for the 500 in May. 220 mph at 13K revs in a plastic bottle rocket is still pretty cool.

If Jerra became commish, I'd give it 3 years before team uniforms started resembling this:

That's so true.

Indy car is a shadow of its former self.

The split and the fight over the Indy 500 was a huge part of it, but the sport also saw some major retirements during that stretch ... icons such as Al Unser, Mario Andretti, Rick Mears, Michael Andretti, Bobby Rahal, Tom Sneva and many more. They were replaced by Brazilians that nobody knew.

I miss the old days of Indy car racing.

It is not that I would not want him to be commissioner, but I am a COWBOYS fan!!! As long as he owns the Cowboys; the Cowboys come first not being NFL Commissioner.
