What happened to Dez' injury being only a matter of him being able to withstand the pain but there being no further risk of injury? My guess is still that Dez plays this week.

Scandrick, I'd sit b/c the soft tissue injury benefits from the extra two weeks off.

In other words, they're both playing.

Truth is, neither is needed that much right now. Much like Romo, they need to just get completely healthy.

Brown is a Scandrick clone anyway.
Dr. Jerry on Injuries:
Scan - "His shoulder looks like he's ready to go so he's probably a couple of weeks from suiting up after the back operation."
Romo - "His concussion is clearing up and looking like he'll be ready this Sunday after the bye which means we're hoping to see him start before or after the playoffs".
Dez - "We have a lot of confidence in the way he's moving around on the sideline. He's going to be ready soon. I was worried about him after he missed the field goal in ummmm San Diego was it? Somewhere on the West coast I believe."
Love you JJ!!

No offense but that's some false bravado right there.

They stand a much better shot of winning in GB with Bryant than without him.

I'm guessing ol Jerry was just playing mind games. Wants teams to think Dez could play.

It'd be pretty rare for him to recover enough from a tibial hairline fracture to play foosball competitively this soon. Don't want to make that injury worse.

Not what I said. I said neither is needed much right now now at 4-1. The Philly game is far more important.

I think they need Bryant to have a good chance to win this game.

I disagree, stash. Bryant is a beast, no doubt. But in his absence, Dak is learning how to play this offense rather than feeling the pressure to play to Dez' pitch count. We're a better team with Dez on the field, no doubt, but this offense and the game plans being devised have been effective with and without Dez. With and without Tyron. With and without Collins. Whether you or anyone else wants to admit it, this entire coaching staff has done an absolutely outstanding job this season and it's showing on the field.

Would I LIKE to have Dez back this week? You bet. Do we NEED him to win this week? Not even close.

Good to see ya, stash.

I'm fascinated to see how Brown does this week covering Randall Cobb. It should be a great measuring stick.

Cobb took a huge hit on his game-sealing catch. He said he saw 15 faces and thought he was dead and didn't know why people were standing around him. Well, if that isn't a concussion, I don't know what is. Seems like me he should be in the concussion protocol.

Yeah, I know you're probably right (and that you've got good reasons for that). But I'm not wrong in remembering Jerry said early on it was a question of pain tolerance and not risk of additional re-injury, right? maybe the earlier comment was to throw off the 49ers or whoever it was who was prepping for us that week.

Green Bay is missing their leader Shields right now. Dez isnt needed to beat the Pack.

I agree.. If Dez and Scandrick arent healed then don't play them.

A loss this week is not the end of the world. That Philly game is much much more important.
I agree, we need the division game much more than this game. Don't risk the long term season for one game.

Give both of them two more weeks to heal for the guts of the season. I would rather see them healthy for the long haul than to have a setback by bringing them back too early.

And, as always, it's great to hear from Trapper Jerry, M.D. on the health of the football roster.

I'm almost think Oscan is a luxury now. Brown is playing lights out!

To the OP, Jerry being Jerry. Just shut up man! I hate JG, but it's gotta be frustrating as hell listening to this fool.

I thought Brown was good in college. I saw him play on TV a few times and once in person. Solid player. Thought we was a LITTLE under drafted. Could've gone in the 4th round. I'm stunned at his play guys. Dak and Zeke are the story but Brown isn't far behind. My gosh, what a DRAFT.

Yup, Jerry is too dumb to be coy. He usually says what is on his mind.
Really.?

During the draft it was obvious to the entire world we were looking for DL and QB help in the first round.

Jones smokescreened the world that we were taking someone other than Zeke so nobody moved up to take him.

Bingo.

Zeke was drafted.

You obviously don't know this guy or the team.

My warning to you is never play poker with Mr. Jones..

he will clean your clock, bro.

Saw the same hit and thought he was going to be carted off the field. Was not even on the radar this week so I guess he's playing. It was a vicious hit though.

I agree but I feel it's different this week playing against a top QB in Rodgers and his weapons. I think this team needs more firepower to keep pace.

And I do and I have credited this coaching staff for the job they've so far. As a critic, I have to also give credit where credit is due.

Would I LIKE to have Dez back this week? You bet. Do we NEED him to win this week? Not even close.

Good to see ya, stash.

Good to talk to you too.
