Our Dallas Cowboys have been waiting for 2 weeks now, to find out if BP WANTS to be the coach?

I was a supporter until something dawned on me.

Who in the HELL does BP think he is?

Dallas Cowboys is the greatest organization in all of pro sports!

BP is not bigger than the star.

Also, imagine if you were a player and BP expects your dedication, your sweat and blood, in order to become a champion and he cannot make up his mind, if he wants to coach?

I am sorry Duane, but you can F-OFF!

You came here and made progress, but your quitter attitude and slow decision making has not allowed this much latititude in making your decision.

The owner, players, fans, asst. coaches deserve a firm answer and not a waffler.

I dont care about what the contract says or BP energy level. This is about the greatest team in sports, being led by someone committed to our teams future.

I for one cannot stick with a waffling, indecisive coach anymore.

Jerry send BP packing and bring in someone hungry and driven.

If it takes him 2 weeks to decide, then his heart is not in it.
It's nothing new to him,he has coached before,it's not a difficult decision.

No, there were better candidates but he let them go to other teams.

First Off who??

Second,

How do you know the decision wasn't made 2 weeks ago? How do you know that Jerry and Bill have known what they were going to do before the season even ended? Just because they haven't come and passifed the fans the sports media, doesn't mean that they don't know what is going on.

It's not matter of JJ growing balls but rather living up to a contract between them. BP has until Feb 1 to make a decision, something they both agreed and made it part of a contract so BP hasn't done anything wrong in terms of not making a decision and JJ can't force BP to make a decision until the deadline.

Ya see, IMO, it's not about slow decision making. It's about stubborn arrogance that IF the players could just DO IT RIGHT, they'd perfect his techniques and his system would work.

But those damn players just can't get it right.

Of course, they all happen to be HIS players as well.

I would have liked to have Petrino or Whisenhunt in my mind that's better than a proven mediocre HC in Phillips.

I think you may be right on the latter. I think Bill will comeback, but on the other hand if Jerry has a feeling that Bill will quit and is wanting him to take more time to reconsider then that's just stupid to wait around for him when there are other coaches becoming unavailable.

WAt if BP has already made his descion, been made his descsion, and is just "sucking the media in" and not giving out his descision.

Everyone in the orginazation has came out and said, they expect BP to be back, but because he hasnt come out and announced it. It's belief that he's still making the descion?

Just because there is no evidence that something does exist. Does not mean there is evidence that something doesnt exist

I am tired of people saying...get involved Jerry! Take back your team...blah..blah...blah.. A couple of years ago, people said, Jerry stop meddling! People you can't have it both ways! There is a deadline in place and I agree with most the folks on the board that there isn't anyone better anyway.....And please stop mentioning Peyton! He has coached one freakin year....he has a lot to proove in years to come....We'll see how he does....

Why are folks so insistent that Jerry make Bill decide?

Jerry gave him a Feb 1 deadline. Only a crazy person would say - "screw that -- tell me NOW"

Those of you who say "if you need more than X amount of time" need to recognize that you don't know crap about Bill's motivation - whether this delay is because Jerry wants to keep the team in the news -- whether the two are working on some sort of extension -- or whether the two are planning to part ways.

Can we not go a day without a post like this one? Damn man, Jones gave him until February 1.

I don't ever want to hear about Sean Payton again.
He's the poster boy-coach of FA, salary cap, parity pure **** luck!
The Aint's, 3-13 last year, are the epitome of this new age NFL. Anyone who gells and gets hot can go. It's a crap-shoot. 32 players, and one Head Coach are new to this team this year. This is THE nightmare predicted by many about FA, salary cap, and parity.
Hope you're happy NFL. You got what you wanted. A sniff away from a Seattle vs. New Orleans NFC Champ. game.

Who'd have ever thought such a thing.

This is the year when the NFL should seriously consider the product. The validity of the game being watered down to this fiasco. The Chicago Bears suck. The New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship game. What's next? The Cardinals vs. the Lions next year?
I hate this parity crap!!

My point is who cares what Jerry gave him.

I do not want a coach that cannot make up his mind if he wants to coach.

His 34-30 record has made me impatient with his decision making.

You and many others are happy with average play I guess.

Apologists come back with "Maybe he is holding out for more money" or "He needs time to see if he has the enegy" or "BP and Jerry already know the answer".

Lee stated a few days ago BP was undecided, so he had to leave for the Razorbacks.

This reasoning is loser logic. I would hope the way we ended in Seattle would make any coach want to come back and prove his worth?

It is time for change even if BP wants to be back!
