Jerry wants to be everyone’s friend. He can’t separate the business side from the personal side. That’s one of this teams biggest issues.

Zeke - Jerry supports him during a bad time. Zeke “repays” him by holding out. Although I don’t blame zeke for that at all.

Jaylon and Amari - Jj went out of his way to revive their careers. Taking a chance on both and both seem like they are lazy at times.

Witten - clearly past his prime

dak - who has made at least 50-60 mil off the cowboys name. Won’t be “reasonable” in terms of his contract.

With the coaches - Jerry has alienated an entire fan base to keep a guy he considers family in Garret..... and I believe gave Moore a shot because he wants him to become the
Next Sean Peyton.

Jerry Jones has too much blind faith and loyalty. He’s been getting taken advantage of for years and he doesn’t realize it.

Loyalty has nothing to do with it this is about Jerry doing everything his way even to the extent of ruining the franchise forever.

If you ever worked 16 years for a large company just to wind up with nothing to show for it perhaps you would understand what loyalty can mean to someone. I don't mind his being loyal one bit. If I'm running that show Witten has earned the right to stay just as ****** long as he wants.

The word you were looking for, OP, was sentimentality.

I doubt that very much. It's all part of the business. After all, Jerry didn't become a self-made billionaire by not realizing "it".

Is this the same Jerry who fired Gailey after two seasons? Campo after 3 seasons? Basically shoved his SB winning coach - and college teammate - out the door?

That Jerry?

Jerry's loyalty is to his ego. He bet his "football guy" prowess on Red Genius, desperately wanting to be proven right.
