Lot of records broken today, none of them good for the Cowboys organization. This team just can't get it done and needs to be blown up. It is still a Garrett roster that needs to be converted to a Vrabel or other tough guy roster.
I like the Vrabel reference

I am sure the post game spread will still consist of filet, caviar and cognac. Yep that will toughen them up for next season.

What Aikman and the boys were able to do is a miracle.

Their 3 rings are worth 6 knowing what we know now.
Not so. Their hc had the final say in all football matters. Jimmy had the power to hire and fire. Huge difference vs the fuhrer micromanaging his hc and all the players.

Look, we've been through several coaches, lots of coordinators, and several QBs and the result has been the same for 29 years now. There is something else wrong with this team. I remember when the Cowboys went 13-3 with Romo. Had a bye in round 1 and then lost to the Giants, another wild card team. The same reason. Stupid mistakes, missed opportunities.

Since Jimmy Johnson left this team has been better at shooting itself in the foot than shooting the other team in the foot. Today was just another example of that. Two Dak INTs led to 14 points and they were really bad INTs. I have defended Dak this year, but I have also been wary of his dual personalities on the field. It is clear to me, Dak tenses up in the big games and he does not play well. But this loss was not just on him either. Receivers were not getting open. The OL was not creating a lot of spec for the running game. But the biggest problem was the defense. They simply could not stop the Packers offense, which is not exactly a juggernaut. And too many times on 3rd and long, receivers were wide open downfield. Can't blame Dak for that.

I do not know what it is but Dak is only a part of it.

Jerry, do what the other owners do and write checks and hire guys who know football to run all aspects of the team. You go ride your helicopter or yacht and count your dollars. Get a gm. Get a coach. Get outta the day to day football decision making and enjoy your life. Let football guys do the heavy lifting.

He’ll bring back McCarthy and likely more status quo in terms of people returning than many would want like or do

It’s a disaster. A 7 seed just beat us lol.
If you had told me at the start of the season the cowboys would have nine players making all pro, eagles would have a late season crumble, and that you have home field advantage until the championship game I'd be like sure you should realistically make the 3rd round.

Instead they got smoked by the 7th seed in the 1st round.

Getting beat the way they did might be surprising, but unless you were a blind fool, Jerry should not be surprised we lost. This team, under McCarthy, has a bad record against good teams. They just do. His record against teams with winning records since he's been here is pretty shoddy.

McCarthy has also spit the bit early in the postseason, just like Garrett did before him.

This highlights the problem with Jerry. He's incapable of seeing the flaws and issues with this team because he's largely to blame for them.
