Selectively aggressive.........right?
It's not encouraging, but this is also the same idiot who said "all in."
I'll wait and see what happens before tuning out.
Selectively aggressive.........right?
Hey now only 1 team builds solely through the draft!!What else is free agency for?

God he hasn't learned his lesson.
By far the dumbest thing I ever heard. I hope he is talking about not filling holes and finding BPA.
I doubt it though.
So the same game-plan as last summer. We all know how well that worked out for us..
That’s not true. Look at tank LawrenceI feel like Dallas likes mainly building through the draft because the incoming prospects are generally young, unaware players that still might be captivated with the “Cowboy brand.” Veterans don't give a lick about that stuff.
He's signaling that he will continue doing what he was doing without any significant changeIt’s an embarrassment to all of us, that every time he opens his mouth he’s telling everyone ‘I’m an idiot’.
And there’s not much we can do about it other than wait out this mummy.
We both know how he operates, right? One thing has given me pause. Why do we need 56m in cap space? Why did he just open up all of that space? I won't believe he's going off script until I see it. But this has me curious.Ah, there's that Jerry we all know.....he really makes it hard for his apologists to keep defending him.
It was only a matter of time for this geriatric leopard to show his liver spots again......
It was Jimmy JohnsonNo one told Jerry that FA is exactly how you fill voids. You likely fill a couple in the draft but the rest you can’t know who’s gonna be availible when you pick
I swear they use to say FA was to fill the gaps so that they can go BPA on the draft...The old fool has it backwards. Use free agency to fill gaps right now. Use the draft to bring in the best available players and build for the future. After 36 years as the owner/GM, how does he not understand this?
They did. They also said it’s what’s needed when you miss on a high draft pick.I swear they use to say FA was to fill the gaps so that they can go BPA on the draft...
One possibility of course is ParsonsWe both know how he operates, right? One thing has given me pause. Why do we need 56m in cap space? Why did he just open up all of that space? I won't believe he's going off script until I see it. But this has me curious.
I guess it depends on what Jethro defines as 'voids'I read the entire thread looking for someone that was talking about what the conversation actually was.
His saying that he is 'not filling voids' does not say what he is going to do.
Bland and Tyler Smith would hit the cap to the tune of 5-7m each more than they are making otherwise. However, a Parsons signing has the opposite effect and would nearly cancel the other two out. Extending him would open up between 10-14m.One possibility of course is Parsons
Maybe Bland.
Tyler Smith has two years to go; maybe him as well.
Lock all three of them up and he can boast of how he has strengthened the foundation of a real SB contender
I'm only curious when I don't know how something will end.....surprise us JerryWe both know how he operates, right? One thing has given me pause. Why do we need 56m in cap space? Why did he just open up all of that space? I won't believe he's going off script until I see it. But this has me curious.
