Jerry: "I'm Not Looking at Free Agency to Fill Voids"

I guess this is then instead a card tournament in Vegas. Talent is talent and you don't coach or scout. :hammer:
I don't think anyone has to be a coach or a scout to see the following:

1. The Cowboys have not been active in free agency.

2. More successful teams have been active in free agency, including the Eagles who just won the Super Bowl.

3. The Cowboys have not reached the NFC Championship game since the 1995 season.

So if you are happy with just being mediocre to good, just keep doing what Dallas has been doing and watch other teams win titles. January 28, 1996 was kind of a long time ago. At least it is to me.

Nothing positive to players returned after 3 12 win seasons. Crying about it does remove the real talent, because you said so.

 :hammer:

I'm for adding another All Pro G/OT in Banks. Interior top shelf for 10 years. Not crying about a cap hit instead.

The Dallas Cowboys have been moving and shaking over the past 48 hours with contract extensions and the flicking of switches on Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb's contracts.

That has freed up over $70 million in cap space with a Micah Parsons extension set to add to that. ... all on a path toward about $100 million available toward a "shopping spree'' of sorts when the NFL business year and free agency open on March 12.

For most, this new way of doing things has many excited for free agency, but if you were thinking that the Cowboys would look to go after the heavy hitters on the market, Dallas COO Stephen Jones might have just poured cold water on that thought...nothing makes any sense you say.

Nothing wrong with bringing back players from the three straight 12-5 seasons. But since all three seasons ended with a playoff loss, Dallas needed more in order to get to the top.

They did nothing instead and now we hope the window hasn't shut. Because those teams were close, but not close enough.

Jerry's stupid logic:

Get BPA in free agency

Use the Draft to fill holes

Smart guy that Jerry. Every other GM does the opposite....but hey Jerry's results speak for themselves, right?

......right?

Yeah the cap space definitely threw all those interceptions to Savage and Alexander :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::lmao::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::laugh::flagwave::laugh::lmao::lmao::flagwave::flagwave::grin::thumbdown::flagwave::flagwave::flagwave:
Maybe the most low-IQ response I've ever seen on any message board.... ever.

Dak was awful vs Green Bay. We know this.

You still aren't bright enough to know how the salary cap works.

Look who crawled out from under their rock. Do you know that your hero will never last a full season again. lmao

Yeah the cap definitely caused Dak to not know the rules about handing the ref the ball and deciding to slide to end yet another season o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::cool::laugh::grin::grin::flagwave::thumbdown::laugh::grin::grin::dance::dance::thumbdown::lmao::clap::clap::facepalm::muttley::facepalm::huh::huh::clap::lmao2::muttley::espn::grin::lmao:

Explain actual talents just resigned and wake up.
Re-signing your players is great. The Cowboys don’t need an exodus like last offseason. I think the fanbase is anxious about who the team may sign, that was not on the roster last season, that will have an impact. And rightfully so. The team has not been aggressive in free agency in recent years. Jerry making comments about not looking at free agency to “fill voids” and suggesting the team has no voids is concerning. It is what is triggering derisive comments here.

You find no fault with the Cowboys. Your Pollyanna outlook is ludicrous.

Nova Classic
My brother had a yellow Monte Carlo. Our son was the one with a classic Pinto. While at Fort Knox, Ky, I traded in a car with 450 block without a reverse for a down payment on a car.

I don’t disagree with that, but it’s fairly pathetic that he has to talk nonsense to get people talking about them.

How about the idea of putting a winning team on the field? I don’t see this plan lasting through where this team is clearly headed. The rest of the division is aggressively getting better while this is about to be the third off-season in a row that Dallas got worse. He will become a complete joke nationally and fully deserves it.
your right it is pathetic, has been for good while now.
I think stephen is now running the circus, and he lets jerry do his talking.
Stephen will try to make the team better, but he is inept too, so dont count
on, or expect anything out of the cowboys, just wait and see what they do,
and how they do.

Thats all we can do.

The only thing that has me a little upbeat, is shotty and the new staff, curious
to see how they do, and if the team is different, and if they get a good RB ( I want hampton) in the draft,
and really try to be a run 1st team.

Cowboys soar into Top-10 cap space after Prescott restructure, have $54 million to spend

fish said they were at 80 mil lol, and they can go to 100 mil if they want to.
Now it just depends on what they do with it.

I dont want old big name vets who are washed up, I want good players on short deals.
Like the RBs available now are not worth signing, draft a good RB like HAMPton or
Jeanty, if they really want to run the ball.

I dont really know of any real good FA that are worth a lot of $.
But they do need OL, and DL help.
I would like to have 1 good pass rusher to combine with parsons.
They need a good bkup qb, I wonder about how cheap would D, Jones be??
If Dak misses games Jones could be a very good bkup, on a 1 year deal.
Mariota is another cheaper option.
