Why would he be discouraged? He's gone from being a barely millionaire to a multi billionaire. That's how he gauges the success. He would have been fired at least six times already as a GM on any other teams. The sad part is he knows it.

The realization that we have a handicapped franchise that’s primary purpose is stroking a billionaires ego, rather than winning or serving the fans, has driven me to casual fandom. I can take it or leave it.

If this garbage continues for much longer, I can’t see being a fan of this team into my old age.
