Its not an excellent point when the discussion is about a long term contract. That's what all these Dak back and forth threads are about so trying to introduce short term contract talk into a long term contract talk thread is again not an excellent point. Its okay that you want to be correct but you're wrong on this one. It happens to us all but some don't know how to handle it.
Bro...this is when I really miss Tex Schramm.. Tex never got close with the players...he was all business.'Crazy' is an unqualified GM who refuses to keep all options open and instead gets caught up in his feelings.
That's 'crazy'.
Good point. Dak made more money this year, on the shelf, then he's made in his entire career, by a lot.
Its not a fair and great point. Its also not a discussion. It is just you not, wanting to accept you're wrong on this not that we just "disagree". It is okay I understand we all want to protect our ego.Yeah, we disagree. It is a part of the conversation and simply ignoring that fact does not improve the discussion.
It's a fair and great point.
I don't find it much of a stretch that Jerry couldn't keep his mouth shut.Ah, but there's the rub. Sources tell CowboysSI.com that Jets management remains irate about the October leaks regarding negotiations - leaks they blame on the Cowboys front office. We'd contend that the Jets camp and Adams' camp have also been fairly forthcoming with information, but the Jets think what they think.
Jets are full of it.
Disagree. About half the QBs on that list are (or were during their prime years e.g. Cam) NFL starting quality QBs.
I wouldn’t either I just find it a stretch to assume the Jets could keep their mouth shut. They’ve been very public about what they are doing.I don't find it much of a stretch that Jerry couldn't keep his mouth shut.
Luck was never a top 3 qb that’s a stretch.Agreed.
Heck, if the colts wouldnt have gotten him injured, Andrew Luck would still be a top 3 QB.

Let's remember who we are talking about here.I’m hoping to we end up with a decent QB. I don’t see any advantage telegraphing to the league our intentions. Hopefully Jerry is being shrewd about wanting a QB by not telegraphing it.
Its more then noise or else you wouldn't have replied. Oh wait I forgot you're another one that acts smarter than reality has shown. If I'm wrong according to you I'm okay with that. I can't say it any more plain then that.Well, you can talk and say that but at this point, it's just noise. It was a good point and it was fair. If you don't agree, that's OK with me but you are wrong. Can't say it any more plain then that.

It’s not only crazy to think about drafting a QB in the 1st round, it’s stupid. We have a franchise QB in Dak. When we extend him his salary cap hit will be minimal and not the 45 mill jokers like @GimmeTheBall! Have said.Is it crazy to think the Cowboys could take a quarterback if they have one of the top picks in next spring’s draft? Yes,” Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas. “You’re asking me is it crazy to bring the idea up and I’m answering it, yes. We’re playing games here guys, but it’s not the thing to be talking about here at all. You know, Dak is our quarterback.”
