This is my point. The only thing I think could hold it up is more control. Or possibly they don’t want him to call plays.
This organization just takes forever to make a decision on anything. And it keeps this team in turmoil .What a mess.Have you ever thought what the players really think about Jerrys way of running the team. And how it effects their confidence to win games ,

It's nothing that I didn't already expect. Actually, the only part I thought might have been different was MM might not want o return to deal with the JJ antics and always getting thrown under the bus but I guess he doesn't mind it as long as he gets paid.

JJ is reserved to the fact of valuing the ability to be in complete control regardless of the performance of the team. MM gives him that even after the debacle last year in the playoffs and utter ineptitude this year. It's more important to be in charge and have a lame coach to blame than it is to implement change and go through the work to research a new way forward.
The truth sure does hurt don't it.I saw the light back when he fired Jimmy ,and he has kept the bad GM hat on ever since.I don't know if it is on purpose or just pure incompetence.

Jerry is really milking any story he can to be relevant isn't he
It might be wort realizing

The media and forums are the ones milking this more than anyone else.

Gotta have new clickbait every single day.

This article doesn’t have a quote from Jerry.

I know outrage is our lifeblood around here but jeez.

For all the people talking about Jerry dragging out this process …

What are other teams doing?

Who has signed new head coaches in the last five days?

Answer: None

It’s like people just live in the angry fan echo chamber and don’t even bother to pay attention to what is actually happening in the league.

I guess at this point McCarthy is either back or later on we hear they just couldn't agree to a contract that was equitable for the Dallas Cowboys.

I agree ,we as fans don't want to be negative but some are tired of watching ,how this team is run.We just want Dallas to be great again.

Would be a crappy way to treat him. At this point, the only honorable thing to do is extend him. Without some significant BS incentive clause.

Do you really believe if Jerry actually got hit in his pockets due to the way he manages the team it wouldn’t motivate him faster to make changes?
He gets more money from TV rights and sources like that. It would takes years and years of revenue loss from lack of sales for him to take notice. For every 5 people to stop buying there will be just as many new ones buying in their place.

I agree and you’re right but change always starts with one. I understand people can spend their money as they wish but it seems more and more people are taking a stand no matter how trivial it is in the grand scheme of things

4 more days of this. 5 if you count the 14th itself.
Does his contract expire at midnight, or actually some point the next day on the 14th?
So you don’t think Jerry will resign McCarthy? Not that I think it is a good idea, but at this point it is a foregone conclusion that Mike will be this team’s HC next year.

It’s almost laughable at this point to overlook the inevitable considering we have Jerry as our GM.

Me personally, he would of been gone the day after our last game

Oh, I think he will bring MM back. He is just waiting to make his splash announcement.

I prefer to move on from him and a lot of the other coaches.

I have not bought anything for years. Not because I am trying to send a message. There is nothing I want or need.

Unless Jerry gives McCarthy more power (written into the contract) or whomever the next HC may be, nothing matters. You could have Vince Lombardi, Landry, Shula, Belichick or Jimmy Johnson as HC, with Jerry and Stephen undermining them at every turn, the team will never get over the hump.

Coaches and players have come and gone in Dallas for 30 years. Been scapegoated time and time again. The only constant in Dallas has been the GM and EVP. Is it possible that they may need to change how they run their organization?
