Well now, Patrick Crayton's dropping of the ball AGAINST the Giants in the post 2007 playoffs makes alllll the sense in the NFL now!

Yes, I'm joking.

Jerry got a loan, from a bank, for 3 mil I think, and then backed out of the deal, because it didnt look like he could make enough
to make the loan payments.
6 months later the AFL merged, and or got new TV contracts, which made the teams more profitable.
So had jerry known that would happen, or had bought the team and got by 6 months, he would have made it with
the chargers.
Then SD would be putting up with him not us.
I think his dad talked him out of it.

Later on his dad retired a millionaire, and let jerry use his money to invest in oil land leases, and jerry made some money.
Then on buying the cowboys, he still had to borrow the money.
At first the cowboys were losing $ So jerry had to do anything to make more money to make loan payments,
and that is why over the years he focused on making money in every way possible.
Loans are payed off, but he cant stop, so the $ keeps piling up.

And I think Hoffa was dead before all this, or in prison. I dont know if AFL would have let
Teamsters be involved with a team back then.

Dont know how true it is but I read he made $ on selling land that had no oil or gas, then would buy it back for pennies on the dollar
and resell it lol.
can you see jerry selling the worthless land ? lol then his pitch to buy the land back when they go under ?? I can.

Maybe it was the mineral rights to the land.

He struck gold with Jimmy Johnson then Johnson went on and he's been a bad GM ever since. We are cursed to have Jerry as owner. If somehow Dak can over come this owner, we are lucky but it's hard to see it.

Jerry likely wanted Romo starting once he was healthy. Great play by Dak helped that not happen. So he's off to a good start.

u ever see Jimmys football life? it was very good, and they explain the whole scenario during time where jimmy left or was fired,
some said Jimmys only way out was to get fired, so that is what he did.
The reason he wanted out was jerry was taking credit for trades jimmy made, and breaking some of jimmy's rules.
I think maybe he knew if he left Dallas would not get the third in a row. and he didnt want jerry to have that.

It just seems like none of it matters. Jerry has taken a once proud franchise and turned it into a spectacle. I hope for the sake of Dak, that he's somehow able to get past all the BS that goes on at the STAR. If not, who knows how long it'll be before we see another Super Bowl. It's just so frustrating.

No. Under the old Giant's stadium in the Medowlands.

I've heard this rumor many times. Mara is probably at the ugly center if it. If found guilty the extent of his punishment would be a $5,000 fine and a 7th rounder in 2127.

As the old saying goes, where there's smoke.....there's dead teamster bodies. Or something like that. ;)

Bottom line is Jerry wouldn't have had controlling interest in the Chargers and why he walked away from the deal.

He didn't want to be in a position where someone ( another partner ) could force him out as GM.
