i am serious about there being a big star on top of the videoboard.

i AM NOT the poke from that forum, never heard of it .

no one, in anybodys family wants that.

I thought it was a funny tag line.

That poke guy just disappeared. He was a character.

Anyway, thanks for responding about the star. :)

I absolutely hate, detest, loathe, despise...etc. etc. that we will now be playing in a dome. Truly and utterly pathetic, its a disgrace to football and a disgrace to the history of the Cowboys. And this is how I really feel.

I agree! I despise domes!! The only redeeming quality of this $ 1 billion stadium when used as a dome is it has a lot of windows to let some outside sunlight in the place.

I hope we get several games a year with the roof open. Here in houston, fans complained of the roof not being open and not using the texas heat to their advantage when teams like the steelers came to town to play in noon games in september....yet they all complained and moaned of the heat once the roof was torn away from hurricane ike but i figure cowboys fans are used to sitting in the heat after all the years at the cotton bowl and tx stadium.

I wonder if all that electronic equiptment in the video/score bord has been weather proofed? It would make an amazing sight shorting out in a passing shower.

I suspect the roof is closed during day games but open during night games, End doors open every game except when it's raining or cold

thank you bbgun for the picture.

i will be real surprised if that star doesnt light up.

on a local dfw pregame show Jones daughter says that they have
some things in store for the opening game that will continue the traditions
of the Boys.

things like the star on the field, the ring of honor and other things that
she said she didnt want to give away.

i cant wait !!

i was there last night and granted it was hot at gametime. but since it only takes what, 12 minutes or so to open it, we thought it would have been cool if they had opened it at the half. it was gorgeous out once the sun went down.

it was interesting to me that during the day the roof almost looked transparent, but once the sun went down, it had the look of any domed stadium. from inside, I mean. i can't wait to see it with the roof open.

Do they show commercials on the screen during TV timeouts or before the game?

not commercials, per se. but there are some ads for cowboys sponsors and in-stadium promotions and such.

i was mad they never showed a replay of the pass interference call nor the reception that was under review. grrrr.

Baseball stadiums have a rule that you can't show replays that "show up" or embarrass the umps. Maybe the NFL has moved in that direction.
