"I really think this coaching staff is tops. I think Jason is able to use everything that he's learned, as coordinator, as coach over these last years, and we've just got to get it together."

Because Jerry holds his cards close to his vest and rarely says what he actually believes.

I honestly don’t believe Garrett survives the off-season. But you know the saying about the devil that you know... we could end up with another Dave Campo. And regardless of who the new coach is, the team will enter this off-season with more holes than it had entering the last one.

As has happened in the past, our 13-3 2016 season lulled the GM (and fans) into a false sense that we were on the verge of a dynasty. The good news is that there will be $$$ available to go after free agents.

Exactly, Jerry always gives the political "Bull Durham" public quotes, which he should. The season isn't over, no matter what the doom and gloom crowd here says. And even if it was, what benefit comes from your Owner/GM crying about it? Is he supposed to forfeit the rest of the season every time the team goes through a bad stretch?

Well now this is depressing.
Our worst fears of Jerry will be confirmed at the end of the season. Great person, loyalty is huge with him. The reality is strong personalities like Parcells and Jimmy would never be a loyal puppet. If Jerry hired Harbaugh or another respected coach and the team wins this coach will get the 1thing Jerry can’t buy....credit for winning the super bowl. Jerry needs this to feel complete. Jimmy cut him deep years ago and he is still trying to prove that Jimmy was wrong and that he is right.

Coach Jerry will not replace his puppet..at best he will hire a new OC and DC...as long as they know the deal coming in and can accept their role as 2nd puppet #1 and #2.
