Despite an ugly 2015 season, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is confident he has the right coach running his football team.

Jones said today at the Senior Bowl that he thinks Jason Garrett is doing good work and will get the team turned around in 2016.

“I have all the confidence that you need to have in Jason,” Jones said, via Drew Davison of the Star-Telegram. “I really like our staff. We certainly, there’s an old adage in evaluating players, since we’re here at the Senior Bowl – if you see them do it, you know they can do it. If they’ve done it one or two times then they can do it. Now we’ve seen this staff perform and have a good year, ’14. That’s why I’m confident that if we get some stability at certainly some key positions on offense that we can have the team that we want to have.”

Jones acknowledged being frustrated last season, and said Garrett is frustrated with the team’s record. But he also said he’s impressed with Garrett’s work ethic, and confident that Garrett will turn things around. The Cowboys weren’t good last year, but Jones thinks he has a good coach.

What if you've seen them do something like 4 times? You still know they can do it? Like 4 out of 5 seasons with a non winning record?

So if a kid in school takes 5 tests that are all multiple choice and gets an A on ONE test but he gets a C on three tests and a big fat F on another are we to believe that he is an A caliper student?

Jerry definitely needs to be put in a padded cell. He has lost his mind. Just stay quiet and hope the media does not abuse you for not firing the HC. Instead, he publically supports JG as if he has Lombardi as his HC. No wonder Carr has not been cut before last season, Carr has far exceeded or out performed his contract (per Jerry's Standards) by having one decent season. Life is Good in Dallas. I need to get a job in the Cowboys Organization. I hope Jerry will "train" me as well due to my lack of experience working for a Professional Football Team.

I saw Wade go 13-3.

This is the type of mindset that's directly responsible for all the no-name projects the team has taken on over the years. Saw the guy make a good play once and that's all it took.

Jerry Jones (translated): "I like Jason Garrett. He's like a son to me. He makes me feel comfortable instead of walking on egg shells and that is what really matters. I've seen him lead a team to a 12-4 season and I hope and pray that he can do this again and again even though there is nothing in his past history that tells me otherwise. Umm...ahh...umm...Did I say he is like a son to me? Oh yea, I did. Also, he makes the team play hard and I see him clapping a lot and that makes me feel happy, optimistic, and comfortable. Winning is nice, but this is what is most important to me. I'm riach byatch!"
