Well, here we are again and again. Jerry Jones has been selling FOOLS GOLD ( aka: Pyrite) for 27 years and the Dallas fans keep buying this "gold".
Every season, the hopes rise with all the talk, cliches, going to do this, going to that, replace this coach, etc.....
We are told how well the Cowboys draft has been over the recent years. But once again, that is FOOLS GOLD. Mazi Smith and Schoonmaker are giving little to NOTHING in support for this team. Mazi is not even, in the game, on goalline stops. The 2021 draft picks are all but gone. Parson still remains but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th picks are gone.
Dak Prescott can't read the opposing defenses and reverts into INTDak. The Dallas Cowboys website, all morning long, has been saying that Dak is reverting and stuggles reading Ds. Even talking about put in Cooper Rush. But you can't trade Dak because then the signing bonus get pushed forward and would be a $59+ Million cap hit next season. So you literally have to strip players away to get under the 2024 cap and basically starting over. And then you might as well do the same with the coaching staff.
But it really doesn't matter. Start over again and again. The constant problem is Jerry's ego/pride. He is the ONLY constant to this 27+ year drough of NOT even get to a single NFC Conference game. Not even say win that game. Just get there. But nope, Jerry is determined to prove everyone wrong that he can do it.
And actually Jerry does prove he can every single season. You see, Jerry wins the most important bowl. The ForbesBowl. Dallas is the richest sport franchise on the planet. And what do we hear.... it is a BUSINESS. Who cares what happens ON THE FIELD. Who cares? The fans. Not the owner, coaches or players. Players want to be popular, make commercial, get paid. Same with the coaches. Fans ( short for FAN-atics) care about wins because fans don't get any of what the owner, coaches and players get. Fans watch the games with emotional ties. Spend $$$$ om merchandise and use vacation time to go games.
And every season, Jerry sells pyrite to the fans and the fans eat it up with emotional hope. While Cowboys fans, were once again, believing in the Jerry Jones World after 2 weeks, realistic Dallas fans who were not buying into this pyrite myth, knew this was coming. It has been happening for 27 years and fans keep falling it for it season after season.
The believing Dallas fans will tell you to then, "go find a team team" or "the past is the past", "this year is different", etc... only to spit out the cliche of "this is only one game and the heaven is not falling". I say, YOU ARE RIGHT. Not one game but 459 games ( 27 yrs times 17 games. Sorry millennials, you can't do math) And you will keep saying all the thing Jerry wants to hear from you because you BELIEVE.
Watch the games because it is a nice sport to enjoy like a movie but remove your vested interest because FOOLS GOLD buys you nothing
