Jerry Jones - "I never had anything I wanted that I couldn't get. Ever. I'll figure out a way. "

Finish your sentence, Jerry.

"I never had anything I wanted that I couldn't get by paying enough money."

And that has always been the problem, Jerry. There are some things for which money is no good, it just doesn't matter.

In competitive sports the currency isn't just cash. That is only what you are spending but it isn't what everyone else is spending.

The players are spending endless hours of their time. They are spending every ounce of their physical ability, They are sacrificing a far less demanding lifestyle doing something else.

The coaches are spending decades of experience and hard work through rocky careers, the constant ups and downs of victory and defeat.

You can't buy what they want. They want to show the world that they are the best at what they do. The only way they can do that is BE the best that they can be.

They can't do that with you around.

Your money won't win a championship, but your absence would be a good start.

Except that NFC Championship in the last 29 years.

Must not want it.
This. He's not understanding how this team building works. You don't buy a title. You can't will it. It must be earned during times in the off-season like now. It's not something you can be entitled to, inherited, rather you EARN it thru smart signings, planning, aggressively attacking the teams weaknesses, and making the strong areas stronger. We haven't yet done these things. Now we have improved a little but not significantly enough. That's been the issue, zero aggressiveness by ownership. So I'm not sure I believe Jerry when he talks about these things. This isn't a damn oil well or typical business where money can fix alot of things. This football thing is unique.
