Jerry Jones - "I never had anything I wanted that I couldn't get. Ever. I'll figure out a way. "

Yup. I'm dealing w/ one right now. It's so strange how this particular narcissist thinks he is right and everyone else is wrong. The cost is all his friends and family, but won't let go of thinking that he is right.

I imagine that's how Jerry Jones is.
I’ve had my experiences as well. It’s a disease, it’s real, and there’s no meds for it….not that you’d ever be able to convince them to take it.

I feel sad for this guy. Really.

When you get older you should reach some dignity. Some wisdom and especially style: in the way you dress, you behave, you articulate yourself. When you are able to do that it shows in what values you invested the time of your life. When you still talk, walk and act the way you were in your teens, thats just sad to watch. What a waste of a life. What would his mother say? What did you do with that life i gifted you under pain?! You disrespected it to the fullest.

JJ still needs to brag about his "accomplishements". Seems in his life nobody really was interessted in him or what he did. So he still lacks that feeling. But he also seems not to be able to selfrefelct over this and change his inner view on things he experienced in life.

His behaviours is usually that of an 5 or 6 year old longing for his parents attention: "look mama what great stuff i did".

Its just so embarrassing. Especially for a guy who represents something special.
Embarrassing for u? I don’t understand that at all but it’s not the first time I have seen it on this board.

I'll still watch...just like most true fans and the haters. We'll watch for different reasons, but we'll be watching
Next time I don’t watch a game it’ll be because I’m physically unable. I’m all proud of my 12/30/90 streak but some of you around here blow me away…if they are being truthful.

Wanting what’s best for the team is another story. Liking how the team is run is yet another. I don’t at all know how to root against them, but we aren’t winning without major change in philosophy upstairs, and that’s not gonna happen until rock bottom arrives first.

For some reason I’m fully confident these two will get us there before long….and I’ll be watching. Winning anytime soon is out, but Jones humiliation is in full play!

I haven't miss a game since 1974. Used to schedule my staff film sessions around the Cowboys and rescheduled a flight from the Azteca Bowl in Mexico City a couple of years ago to watch the game at the airport. Lol

Tremendous. I don’t allow any event to get in the way.

I literally told my parents at the dinner table about 25 years ago that they weren’t allowed to die on a Sunday in the fall. One complied, one TBD.

Things are changing a bit though, admittedly. Even during the Campo years, I was always able to find the hope that something better was being built. Now, that is much more difficult.

No matter the era, I still get chills when I first see that uniform on the TV. It means that much to me and is why I can’t let the Jerry ego situation bead off me. I want my team back.

You never had the feeling of feeling embarrassed in behalf of someone else ?

Never read about that phenomena either ?

What is very telling about Jerry and Stephen is their inability or refusal to be publicly embarrassed. Jerry will usually bristle when asked by reporters about an embarrassing loss. Like the humiliation against GB last year.

Back in 2013 the Cowboys lost a “win and you’re in” game at home in a collapsing fashion to Philly 24-22 and finished 8-8 for the third straight year, and fourth straight year of not making the playoffs.

Romo was hurt for that game and the Cowboys had spent sizeable cap space to have Kyle Orton as our backup. He had a decent game but threw 2 soul crushing pics, one with the Cowboys almost in FG range in the last minute. Here’s another familiar stat: The eagles had 137 yards on the ground, and Cowboys couldn’t stop them when it mattered.

After the game Jerry was asked if he was embarrassed to finish 8-8 again, and not making the playoffs for the 4th straight year. His narcissist response: “Embarrassed? Would you get embarrassed standing in this stadium.” Classic narcissist.

Before this trial, I simply had not realized what a disease narcissism really is. It's really bad. Makes me see Jerry through an entirely different scope. And not a good one.

Jerry is the most emotionally insecure self made billionaire I’ve ever seen. He’s very thin skinned compared to guys like Mark Cuban or Jeff Bezos who usually listen to criticism and learn from it. When he’s criticized publicly he starts flexing, reminding everyone who dares to question the great OZ that HE is the only one who can “fix” this team.

It is obvious by now that Jerry has a complete bubble around himself and his family. It appears no one outside his trusted circle has his ear or respect when it comes to changing the personnel and operational side of running the team. Losing and failure does not affect him because he takes no responsibility for that.

In short, we have an 82 year old delusional narcissist who is completely unaccountable for his actions. Hate to say it but this won’t get better until he’s gone. He has proven incapable of being honest with himself.

Yea, it’s so obvious. He’s trying to control the narrative . And like we have seen in public officials if they spew their garbage enough their followers believe them.

There’s only a couple ways to stop them. Either at the polls, the gates or by the sword.

It’s why I came on these sites almost 20 years ago campaigning to stay away from purchasing tickets attending new stadium.

It doesn’t even matter anymore if he believes it or not. He’s going to stay the course cause he can.

He’s challenging everyone to call his hand but we’ve been unwilling so far. And I’m not sure it’s even possible anymore. The fix is in with revenue streams in place he revolutionized for his passion.

It would take public displays at the stadium and fans revolting to ultimately bring the change most see is necessary. And unfortunately I don’t see that happening.

It’s not coming back anytime soon without an upheaval from the fans.

And with all of the brilliant revolutionary revenue streams he spearheaded doesn’t even need the full support of Cowboy fans anymore.

He can fill his stadium with opposing fans and corporate sponsors entertaining their clients.

We have to get over the fact nothing is changing. Jethro isn’t going anywhere.

It is what it is and we are what we are.

Our bar has been lowered. Expectations must be adjusted.

We have made our bed with Jethro. We will have to live in it. The opportunity we had to force change has passed.

Let the apathy settle in. Walk away or just come to realize we will have to limp along with our dysfunctional situation.

Good news is no other fans have a greater excuse for less success than Cowboy fans.

Couch Coach, RIP, helped me come to grips years ago.

His suggestion was just try to focus on the entertainment level of each game rooting your team on .

His goal was for at least 17 meaningful games. Nothing worse than season over by Thanksgiving.

And if we had some bonus games following that was gravy. Which was about all he could expect under our dysfunctional leadership.

Unfortunately having aspirations for championships just wasn’t a reasonable expectation anymore under this regimes way.

Doesn’t mean we still couldn’t continue to criticize but this new mentality provided a way forward continuing to watch our team. Otherwise we’d of totally walk away.
