Jerry is half drunk all the time and that's on his good days.....so anything he says should either be ignored or taken with a grain of sea salt. Like it has been said, He is also the one who wanted Paxton Lynch, Johnny Manziel, Connor Cook, and has brought in Mark Sanchez, Brandon Weeden, Kyle Orton, Brad Johnson, Drew Henson and the infamous Ryan Leaf. Jerry needs to stop talking like he is some deft trader. How many teams have poached targeted picks from the Cowboys during previous drafts. Yes, it happens to all teams, but seems to happen to the Cowboys more frequently. Dallas doesn’t make the move up to get their guy and trades with another team who does, then the FO makes a panic pick.

Hurts wouldn't have done any better than Dak here. In Philly, they go all in and build around their qb. Here, we'd trot out a team that is 'just good enough' to get to the 2nd round of the playoffs

he passed on Moss, because of character issues and at the time the cowboys had a HUGE image problem. otherwise he was the pick.

but he has missed several times sitting and waiting...he missed on Dallas Goedert. that was the pick and eagles jumped and go thim. same thing happened in 2009, he got jumped by seattle and we wanted Max Unger as we had a huge need at center. Seattle jumped one spot ahead and got him.

if there is a QB you want, willing to spend a 2nd, then you don't mess around , you grab him. I would have passed on Diggs and taken hurts.
