Jerry Jones on @1053thefan: I really never felt like we left the US. The enthusiasm for the #Cowboys never ceases to amaze me.
Jerry Jones on @1053thefan: Dez's contract is not a distraction at all. It doesn't even distract Dez, let alone the front office.
Dez's contract is a meaningful one because it will impact our salary cap and put together a good team.
Dez is a loyal guy, and we're loyal guys. RE: Dez's "don't test my loyalty" line.
I've had a lot of inordinate personal interaction with Dez Bryant, more than any other player in team history.
I've visited with Dez specifically about this business every since he became a Cowboy -- every aspect.
It's an advantage that I've done a lot of "geeing and hawing" with Dez ahead of his contract negotiations.
I've seen in Dez a commitment to come up with a common solution for his contract.
I've been in communication with Dez's new negotiation team.

"You can't teach LB instincts." You can't play it without a nose for it. RE: Anthony Hitchens.
We think Anthony Hitchens is an instinctive player.

I'm not seeing Romo getting shortchanged for playing with limitations and injury. He's recognized.
What is amazing is that Romo can play well when he's not in his best shape.
The only thing anyone could be critical of Romo is he hasn't won a Super Bowl, or even come close.
We've come a lot closer to knocking on the door of a Super Bowl with Romo than people give us credit.
We didn't think this would be the year Romo would get a Super Bowl, but you surely can't dismiss it.
We're going to have some fun here the next 6 ballgames.

We'll have Rolando McClain back Saturday. I'm looking forward to getting Josh Brent back.
We need to bolster up that middle of the DL. Spencer and Lawrence were getting better.
We've got a chance to get better defensively.
Tyler Patmon may not get back by Thanksgiving.
DeMarcus Lawrence has hit the ground running. He used the off-time to change his body.
Every time DeMarcus Lawrence steps on the field, he's improving. He has that slipperiness and burst.

Jerry Jones on @1053thefan: Dez Bryant contract talks are not a distraction. "It deserves the kind of attention we're giving it."

"He's seen it in me, and I've seen it in him, the ability to come in here and come up with a solution that's best for the team" - JJ on Dez
"I'm lookin forward to havin Josh Brent, he's gotta earn a jersey, but I think he'll earn a jersey." -Jerry Jones

I'm looking forward to watching Lawrence's continued improvement these next six games. When he and Melton are next to each other it's a potent combination.

thanks for all this info. I'm not fluent in tweet speak - what the heck is Mike Fisher saying and to whom?

My guess is most of the answers are canned so as not to give too much leverage to the other side.

Well the first tweet was related to the tweetcap.

The rest I believe was directed toward another reporter who I assume wasn't happy with being corrected. I'm unsure as to who that might be. I have a couple of guesses, though.

I just did a quick check and my suspected reporter was involved in a back/forth with some of his followers. Fish dropped out after he made his points.

I think he was asking about Fisher "correcting" someone. I was confused by that, too.

Just don't expect the same style as some past pass rushers. IMO, he's not going to spend the majority of his time trying to rush wide and bend the corner with pure speed. He's more about playing with technique, leverage, strong hands and some good inside moves. He spend more time going in more of straight line at the QB than sneaking up behind him.

Whatever it takes to get to the QB. Thanks for pointing out the differences.

I dont even know where to start. What does the first statement mean? Did I sleep through the season where the Cowboys came close to knocking on the Super Bowl door?

That's what I've noticed too. It seems to help against the run since he is still able to contain instead of taking himself out of the play. In the two games he's played it looks like he can get off blocks pretty well so I could see him getting sacks if the QB has to pull the ball down or move around in the pocket at all.

Yes, that's also a general description of how Marinelli seems to want all of the DEs to play. As you said, it also helps in run defense because they are not up-field past the RB all of the time and it help with running QBs.
