“Out of respect for Ralph Wilson, out of respect for everything he’s meant for the NFL — a Hall of Famer, but in my mind one of the founders of the NFL — I don’t want to get ahead of things at all in commenting about the future of the Bills,” Jones said Monday, via Tim Graham of the Buffalo News.

And then came the comment about the future of the Bills: “We always ought to be looking for ways to improve not only the growing the pie but also growing the fan base. And to the extent that you can involve more fans in any team location is something to be considered.”

It’s a not-so-subtle twist on the old Sam Kinision “live WHERE THE FOOD IS!” world hunger bit. Jones wants the league to live where the fans are. Specifically, where more of them are. And more of them are in places like Los Angeles or Toronto than in Buffalo.

If he hasn't learned by now then forget it; get him a muzzle. Get Samantha to put him on mute when needed. Something.

I think they should play some games in Toronto and see what happens. It's not so far the Bills fans can't go and it will give a barometer on how Toronto wants the NFL. That's a very cosmopolitan city to put it nicely. When I'm there I don't get much sense they want the NFL.

When you beat them in back-to-back Super Bowls, they carry your soap and give you their corn bread for the rest of their lives.

He doesn't want to get ahead of himself but then he keeps on talking.

I'm sure the Bills fans really appreciate Jerry Jones talking about their options.

I would be surprised if any team moves to LA. If that happens it will have to be a team from a large city. I feel the owners use LA as a bargaining chip when they want a new stadium. Unless you're from a big city like Atlanta or Houston, if they were to move to LA....the owners would lose that bargaining chip.

Jerry also gave huge praise to Jon Bon Jovi as a potential owner of an NFL team. He didn't make the connection to Buffalo though.

Bon Jovi and Maple Leaf sports entertainment (owner of the Maple Leafs and Raptors) are working together to buy the team and possibly moving it to Toronto, which is the 4th largest market in North America.

Problem is Rogers Center (also known as Skydome) isn't suitable a have an NFL team full time. But if they get a suitable deal to build one (and there is lots of money in Toronto), don't be surprised if the Toronto Bills becomes the next NFL team.

I talked about this some months ago before Wilson passed away. Basically that Bon Jovi was lying low until Wilson died, then pounce on the opportunity to buy the team, with the ultimate goal of moving it to Toronto.

There's no way the Bills move to Toronto. Toronto isn't Bills Country. They all like different teams.

About 40% of Bills home games are fans driving from Toronto. Toronto fans keep the Bills solvent in that hellhole otherwise known as Buffalo.

Where are you hearing that? I live in Western New York. I think you have it mixed up with Niagara Falls.

Canada is looking at hosting the 2026 World Cup. To do so, they need an 80,000-seat stadium. So there is interest for a bigger stadium there, and the Bills would give it a tenant.

That's a way high estimate.

And a lot of those "fans" aren't rooting for the Bills necessarily, they are just going for the party....that's why a lot of people go to be honest.

Moving to Toronto on the premise that there are a ton of Bills fans there would be an astronomical mistake on the part of the NFL.

Hadn't heard that, but it would make a lot of sense I think.

NFL needs revenue from outside US for hyper growth. If they get a new stadium in that region gotta be closer to the Canadian border.
