Jerry Jones: Manning more important to Colts than Brady to Patriots

"Not to take anything away from Tom Brady, but I believe that you could put a player in (for Brady) and do what they do at New England and win some games better than you can plug another quarterback in what they do at Indianapolis."

"I personally believe I could make it for a game or two without Brady. But I think it would be a dramatic difference, a drop off, without Peyton Manning out there. It's how he gets out there and runs the checks and everything, gets them in the right plays."

I agree with Jerry.... but why even say that?

Its will be taken as a shot at Brady and Pats....

"yeah I said.... duck it.... might cry two tears in a bucket, duck it"!

I absolutely 100% agree with that assessment.

Jerry should have went the Phil Simms route and said "they are both great QB's and either team could not afford to lose them. PERIOD.

Its somewhat out of character for Jerry to say what he said... he usually takes the aforementioned route.

Manning makes that whole thing go. Romo could do exactly what Brady is doing in NE, but i'm not sure Romo could do what Manning does in Indy.

To me, Brady is a programmed robot, usually does exactly what his coach relays him to do, whereas, Manning is the coach on the field, making adjustments on the spot as needed, therefore, I also believe Manning is more valuable.

I agree. Thats a little detail on what Jerry touched on.

I wouldnt be suprised if the Pats kept communication on in Brady's headset.... "you got "Moss" open down the left side line, "Toss" it" LOL

Brady Quinn is more dangerous....

And how's that? Quinn has only sat this season and has yet to play in an NFL game. With the way Anderson is playing Quinn may not see the field for a while.

why does Jerry Jones and the Cowboys seemingly finding themselves involved in these type of discussions...why can't this be reserved for the talking heads or fans? I'm sorry....I just find us way to distracted these days!

He's right. Manning calls the entire offense himself. The Colts are more of "The Peyton Manning Show", which is why they could never get over the hump in the playoffs when Belichick owned Peyton.

However, I think Brady plays on the better overall team, which is why he's likely going to get his 4th Superbowl Ring this year at the age of 30. Brady took way less money than he could have when his contract was up, because he wanted the Patriots to be able to keep his team intact. He won't do commercials unless his offensive linemen are present. Brady's examples of the team coming first and self sacrifice for the overall good are huge reasons for the winning culture in New England.

Well, when you cheat like heck, you could throw a 5yr old in there and they'd win!

I bet Jerry was asked a question.

I really doubt jerry came running out of his office wearing a "I heart Manning" shirt. Someone asked him a question and he answered.

Well Jethro, I guess it would depend on who has the better backup. And it's not like Brady doesn't coach or change plays on the field like Manning does. And Manning, for years, had better receivers than Brady until this year and Brady has done nothing but win 3 SBs with less. Jethro's statements are pretty rediculous. They're both great QBs but IMO Brady has been the more outstanding of the two over the long haul to this point.
