Jerry Jones' master Cowboys plan worked perfectly as final DE domino falls

Per Sirius XM, dont expect Jerry to pay Micah this year, Why, it would put the Teams salary cap in an unsurpassable place. The problem is if Jerry pays Micah in 2025, over 50% of the 2026 Salary Cap would be taking up on 4 players, DAK, CD, Micah and they still and the Zack Martins contract. Not enough money to pay the rest of the team in 2026. DAK alone will take up 74mil in 2026. Jerry could simple get Micah in the room and explain this,,,but instead Jerry wants his name and the Cowboys in the headlines.
He already has we know this, his deal wouldn't start until next year though

This is people just talking without actually analyzing the numbers and doing the math. I looked at the numbers a few weeks back and the Cowboys can easily fit Micah in if they sign him this year. For one thing they can lower his 2025 cap number substantially, then carry that savings over into 2026. Or they can take the hit in 2025 and make his CAP impact less in 2026 and 2027.

As of right now they Cowboys are $31 million under the CAP and that is taking Micah's full $24 million salary against the CAP this year. They are $5 million over the CAP (projected) in 2026. But the carryover will net them at about $25 million under. The can restructure CeeDee, Osa, and extend Tyler Smith to save easily another $30 million or more. They can restructure, trade of cut Diggs for even more savings. They can easily fit Micah into 2026, without doing anything with Dak's bloated contract.

It might get more difficult in 2027 when the back ends of these contracts start to catch up but if they do not overdue the restructures in 2026 they should be able to makes things work.
