The eternal optimist that is Jerry……..
Jerry was a wildcatter, but he was protected by what he was actually looking for was actually in abundance and expanding.

Trade cooper - Dak got it
Let go of collins - Dak got it
Demand the wrong rb gets the ball - Dak got it
Tyron goes down - Dak got it

great plan
And yet the bottom line is Dak isn't very good so your point sucks. He can't play against above average teams.

Why doesn't the HC say this? Just sick of him.
Because any HC expecting to make his own announcements would never be considered for this job. Think Johnson or Parcells would put up with that?

When Booger said the reason he liked Garrett was he made him feel comfortable, what did you think he was referring to? The record? Playoff success? The direction of the team? Or the fact he let Booger be the face of the franchise, be a celebrity and Garrett stayed out of the way.

What do you think Garrett told McCarthy about Booger before he was hired in a 12 hour interview?

Now, what do you think the other HC's in the NFL think of McC? Do they respect him? Or do they see him as some kind of eunuch of a HC? Especially after Booger ran that little Sean Payton head game on him and let him twist on the hook.

At least he hasn't gone with the "run faster" plan yet.

I understand Jerry and his comments and take on national media. What is he going to say, this is a huge problem our back ups suck. Therefore undermining everything those players they worked and prepared for.
However, behind closed doors you know they are saying, crap, what do we do, what can we do. Will, go find us some guys.

Jerry selling it to the fans, but many know better.

Jerry has a habit of saying what is said behind closed doors. I don't think he understands what keeping it in-house means.

Imagine if they would have drafted a Tackle instead of Joseph? You know. To groom.

Or even better. Signed Duane brown for 20 million over 2 years and 4 million against the cap this year. LOL.

This FO is inept, incompetent, and the worst part is. They believe they aren't.

It’s not even meant to be a Dak thread for real.

Just pointing out that this man is the GM. And his solution to player personnel problems is “well gee, other guys just need to step up”

It’s some of the dumbest **** I’ve ever heard.

I mean "next man up" is a very common NFL saying that is said by just about franchise in the NFL. The only problem is that Jerry is an overrated drafter who goes for the boom or bust prospect so the depth is just pitiful (and so are some starting positions).

So if the untalented, inexperienced players Jerry loves fail to get it done, it is not Jerry's fault, it is their fault for not stepping up? Jerry thinks life is like a Rocky Balboa movie.

On the other hand, Jerry has signed back tackles in the past and when he needed them they sucked. Last year he ignored his swing tackle and put Steele on the left side.

Cutting Collins was dumb. But imagine how dumb it will look if Steele can't get it done at RT?

My Tyron fandom has waned sometime ago due to his availability issues and untimely penalties

I do know however that he is a key cog within our QBs success

Dak struggles in the past usually coincides with Tyron missing games and I’m probably going to be missing him bout 4 games in

that said it’s past time for the succession plan. I think they need to band aid it this year unless a trade for a promising young OL can take place and then draft high again unless there plan is Tyler

we needed a swing tackle before Tyron went down now it’s a concern as we need 2
