Jerry Jones on The Fan right now

Dear Lord, they actually wasted a good chunk of their finite time with him to prod him about "glasses cleaning-gate".

Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez
Jerry getting going on radio. Tells 105.3 the fan Ogletree could be the Cowboys' fastest receiver. 'You could argue that and win.'

And Jerry says Bruce Carter is the fastest inside linebacker in the NFL. 'Maybe fastest in the NFL period.' He's excited.

Jerry laughs and says one of the things he wouldn't do is sit near him at a ballgame 'cause you might be compromised.' #glassescleaning

Jon Machota ‏@jonmachota
Jerry Jones: Bruce Carter is the fastest inside linebacker in the NFL and maybe the fastest linebacker, period.

Jerry Jones: Hats off to Rob Ryan. It's been a "come to ***** year for him."

Jerry Jones would like to see NFL cut preseason down to 2 games, make regular season 18 games. "I hope we can work to do that."

Calvin Watkins ‏@calvinwatkins
Jerry Jones said on KRLD that Rob Ryan had a come to ***** meeting and made some changes.

Jones also said on KRLD he likes a possible plan to increase the regular season to 18 games.

Tom Orsborn ‏@tom_orsborn
J. Jones on impact of speedy ILBs Lee, Carter on interior pass defense: "We can run with backs, with tight ends, with crossing receivers."

Jerry Jones on Rob Ryan: "Hat's off to him. He's had a come to ***** year...He's made adjustments. He's done the things great coaches do."

J.Jones says 'Boys have "to be careful about" not making too big a deal about Giants win but adds game "will be a big part of our identity."

J.Jones on DeMarco Murray: "We didn't know how powerful and physical he would be inside. We didn't see that at Oklahoma."

Thanks WG........ur the best, one of these days I'll send D.Woodson to ur house a thank u gift

Me either. That's why I was totally wrong about this pick.

I was totally right about the pick, but for the wrong reasons. I thought he was just incredibly smooth, able to change direction without losing speed, one of the biggest keys to being a successful running back in the NFL, IMO. Very much like Marcus Allen, IMO. And when I heard about his forty time, I was more convinced than ever.

But yes, I had absolutely no idea he would bring this kind of punishing running style with him, no idea at all. And it's not just his attitude -- MBIII had the same mentality, but he did not always run people over, contrary to popular belief. He could dish out punishment to defensive backs but anyone bigger and he would often bounce off of them, rather than going over them. Demarco Murray just abuses anyone he runs into, they are always falling backwards. The hit on Kiwanuka was pretty sweet, but the hit on Blackburn was even better. He just annihilated that dude :laugh2:

:laugh2: Jerry Jones plagiarizing Jason Garrett. I LOVE it! :laugh2:

Am I missing something here? We can not say the name of that guy from Nazareth?

My guess is they are afraid someone might say it in a bad way.

I'm actually hoping Murray learns to tone down the MB3 antics and learn how to conserve his body a little more, specifically at the end of the run. Otherwise I'm afraid he's going to have an MB3 career span. Guys who habitually end every run by ducking their head and trying to plow over defenders for an extra half a yard typically don't have long career.

Did anyone see the pregame? I'm curious if Murray ran out the tunnel or tried to run through the wall.

Must've missed it.

Murray's got a ridiculous body type. Keeps himself in immaculate shape while having that explosiveness. It's great to see. I just hope he holds up.

I agree. Gotta have someone give him a blow during games. We need him for 16 games. Has he stated why he cut back in on that run. Many are wondering why. I think he was gassed. But if you think about it...he ran it...caught it out the backfield...protected on 3rd down...gotta get someone to spell him.

Agreed, agreed, agreed...

Just a question ......Ive heard about Murray speed and all....

are any of you disappointed in his overall speed?

I expected better top end speed........must be my bad .......I guess I had false expectations.

Yeah, busting those 80+ yard runs against the Rams last year were disappointing. This guy has really good top-end speed, if you're referring to the run on Wednesday night, he just ran out of gas. He can house it from nearly anywhere on the field.

I understand he has speed....even tho that Ram run ...E.Smth could of took it to the house and he never had top end speed :) ;)

I was just asking if anyone else was a little disappointed in his top end speed....When he was drafted....I guess I got the impression he had very good top end speed. But as a NFL pro.....we have learned that Murray is alot tougher runner then expected....but runs out of gas...surprisingly quick for a back that is in good shape....and carried the rock alot in college.

Im not bashing Murray at all....and I just love that we picked him in the draft.

I guess its just me and my false expectations. I dont watch college football much so I go by things I read on the net about a player.
