jerry; good moring guys, im excited to play and getting on plane tomorrow

jerry; we wil see how barber practices today and go from there

jerry, very big win for us and wade, with wade complishment as a coach and fans can have, real thrill when i was with beuhler and another player beside me. I am just going to dream i won playoff games last 10 years and the hell with it,

jerry; no, after these losing years, never had a time that i didnt think we wouldnt get this right and i was in wrong spot as a owner etc

jerry; false starts questions; one of thing u can do is like yesterday, we had the sound so loud, it emlnilated conditions we will have in minny, and our offense didnt have any offsides stuff and was really sharp. I just think you have to do it, and can u imagine your the offensive linemen and you make a false step etc, or be offsides, but at same time, that linemen is going wiht his assignments, going wiht the calls, watching the defensive linemen, because i tell u they are not calling inducement of defensive llnenmen doing things they are supposed to do and thats bs.

jerry; i think for these projections of us probably going to superbowl or with farve, any of those kind of things are inputs that dont amount to much, if you look at matchups and u can project how one team might fare or position might fair, like farve, he releases ball quickly and he might fair well doing that and obviously id t ry to run peterson

jerry on shuisham; i think in watching hiim with his fundamentals at practice, and that should give us some pretty good reliance, but on other hand, what it is is what it is, rather than buehler who hasnt been consistent as suisham

jerry on defenses in 90's, those 90s defenses were solidified, with not taking anything away from maryland or ken norton, but that got solidified when we got charles haley, now we have ware and spencer, and we have a coach that develops pressure with more players involved liek from safeties, etc, then just pass rushers, and that contributes with our improved secondary play, i wouldnt try to comapre this to a doomsday defense, but we tried to work on emphasis on defense when wade arrived wiht his hard work and unique in nfl, and have a chance with contributions with doomsday;
jerry; i thank listeners for putting up with me hear because i could only hear half of your questions;

thats it zoners;

ive kept waiting to see if any of u would comment on about false steps by the offense, and jerry jones stated that some of that is due to the other teams defense causing some of that, and that the refs arent calling that like they should and its BS. In fact jerry jones called out the refs in a way for not calling defenses making offense to jump and was BS.

We have blitzed our safeties fairly infrequently this season and Phillips in general does not make it much of a habit. I wonder where this is coming from.

came from jerry jones, jerry said that with wade being a great defensive coordinator, not only does he develop great pass rushers with the outside linebackers, but wade has developed more blitzing opportunities with the safeties, other linebackers, etc.

I really do like and appreciate the passion Jones brings to this organization but I think we all know where much of the stuff he says comes from.

Think the other end.

Speaking of "the other end" I think that's where he gets his claim that our false starts are because of D-Line inducement.

Jerry is just all frothing at the mouth (like we all are) over our recent success. For him it results in bs sometimes. You just need to understand that he's like that.

jerry was saying that with watching suisham in practice with his fundamentals, that suisham looks good, but this late in the year, basically were stuck with suisham as our kicker, because in practice beuhler is more inconsistent then suisham, so it is what it is.

Jerry Jones: Wade's return is "on go''

David Moore/Reporter Bio | E-mail | News tips

Jerry Jones still can't bring himself to utter the words that Wade Phillips will be back.

But the owner did concede Friday that hiring Paul Pasqualoni, an assistant Phillips wanted to add to the staff with Todd Grantham's departure, speaks to the fact that Phillips will return.

"I think it does,'' Jones said. "Certainly, I'm pleased with the job Wade is doing and has done. I certainly am interested in building on what we've got going right now in the positive way.

"I think it would clearly say, if you sort through the circumstances of Paul's hire, that it's on go here for Wade. But again, we haven't sat down and talked about it.''

There is an option year on Phillips' contract for the 2010 season. That option belongs to the Cowboys. Jones has said he will sit down with Phillips and resolve the coach's fate within 48 hours after the team finishes playing.

Phillips was asked if he took Pasqualoni's hiring as confirmation that he will be back.

"Well, you know, we're just doing what's best for this football team,'' Phillips said. "I think Jerry would have done that anyway.

"Conclude whatever you want to conclude, I guess.''

I caught that statement as well. My first thought was Jerry let the cat out of the bag and Wade is going to start blitzing the safety more going forward.

I think Jerry's an in-the-moment guy, and we did some rare safety blitzes with Hamlin against Philadelphia. Probably stuck in his mind.

We also don't blitz the corners much, but brought that out for one game. I can't remember which.

There was a statistic NBC showed during last weekend's game that had the Cowboys with one of the lowest percentages in the league of safety/corner blitzes.

I like how Phillips gives you a lot to consider. You really don't know what all you're going to see from him.
