Somebody call in and ask him why he thinks it's appropriate to continue as GM after over a decade of failure.

Just wondering.

talked about davis beating eagles, the pidgeon video too, with lead blocking jerry said

trade deadling, no we wont do anything today
like the way butler is coming on, and spencer is becoming what we want him to be and we have ware

bye week for jerry; was so early in the season, so just didnt have the get away, so i just stayed and watched the games;

some guys like to take a trip which are the players, those few days are very important for them getting back onto their feet

first game in afternoon, so important for our fans to be involved in, so we have to decide if roof or not is open since in afternoon, see what happens on game morning

we have much respect for the falcons as you can, that qb is something else;
turner is a heck of a back, wiht wade knowing him;
this is all day sucker for us, wiht win so important,
important a game as we have had around here

you just cant gurantee victories with teams now, even if supposedly those teams arent as good as you think

tashard choice jerry; i think that barber is going to be in better shape thna 2 weeks ago, but choice has earned to get part of the load, and we were pleased with how felix moved yesterday, but we dont know how sore he will be

the strenght of our team is at running back and we are going to use it

if we can get tony playing, and improving in every other area, iwht austin and we have a guy named ogletree, keep your eye on him, little over 6 feet tall, 4.37 in 40, can really run and get seperation, and with roy coming back we really might have somethning

we have young wr in austin on way up, stretch field, roy your number one wr to have a great year to how he is working;

identity of cowboys, generally said after season is over, in regards to what choice said, yet in 2007 we won 9 games wiht 10 pooints or less, so your identity is determined after the fact,
llike what is identity of giants right now, this thing evolves, as the season goes on, so players change compared to how much they play in college to now 16 games in nfl,

i got htis from tex schramn, they knew how important to have all news from different of all media for coverage, etc

favorite player for 50 years, so i have to take players that played for me since i ve been here, i know how great roger and bob lily were for the cowboys
so i would have trouble naming players for me, so i wont go there, but jason witten is my top 5 of players when i told troy aikman, i might have messed up by saying jason is in my top 5 and aikman said no you didnt mess up jerry

rotation on superbowl, no rotation now in nfl
jerry says

candingly i had an opportunity to move cowboys, and i refused it to move cowboys 12 or 13 years ago.
thats it;

That's at least the second time in a short period of time that Jerreh has had man-love for Ogletree.

I'd like to see the kid get some playing time. Hurd hasn't knocked my socks off. Neither has Crayton for that matter.

Yeah, wonder if that means anything as far as him playing more.

Same with Butler.

BTW, I thought one of the most interesting things was the suggestion, though Jerry kind of stopped himself before he said too much, that Wade was pushing for us to go after Turner before we had Barber re-signed to an extension.

Good point on Butler.

The kid was sort of a "demon" during training camp, plus he had the big 5 minutes against Carolina. He seems to be a natural pass-rusher. Which I can't say about Spencer.

Will listen, but can't until later. Thought I could get a quick response until I get a chance later tonight.
But you're right, listening is better that another's opinion.

I think one of our biggest hopes the rest of the year is that Ogletree, Butler, and Jason Williams chip in with something. Maybe even Mike Hamlin and CuJo, if they can get in the game. They don't need to carry the team or anything, but I think they could be a little shot in the arm for us.

And to those who asked, yes, Jagger asked if Jerry would ever move the team, and he said he had some offers years ago but wouldn't do it.

Why Jagger asked that out of the blue? Who knows. Because he's an idiot.

I like that the Cowboys are high on Ogletree because it seems like he can become a very good player in time.

Excuse me Jerry, but stop the BS about a WR needing two to three years to come into his own. What the heck are you even talking about? Roy wasn't a rookie coming into the league. The guy was a veteran who played in a very similar offense and has yet to live up to that trade value.

I hate to use this guy as a reference point, but it's very relevant to this issue. Terrell Owens came to the Cowboys in 2006 and immediately put up big numbers: 85 catches, 1180 yards and a leauge leading 13 TD's.

And he was coming into a completely different offense from the 'West Coast' type he had played in for his entire career up until that point.

As for Tashard Choice getting more carries. I will believe it when I see it.

Jerry talk at it's finest.

Jerry has mentioned it before that he could have moved the Cowboys to California(LA).

Hmmm, we all know that Austin has surpassed Crayton as the #2 WR, but has Ogletree also surpassed Sam Hurd as the #4?

....WR.............Old WR..................New WR
..Position.......Depth Chart..........Depth Chart
.======.....============......=============
.#1 WR.......Roy Williams............Roy Williams
.#2 WR.......Pattrick Crayton......Miles Austin
.#3 WR.......Sam Hurd...............Pattrick Crayton
.#4 WR.......Miles Austin............Kevin Ogletree
.#5 WR.......Kevin Ogletree........Sam Hurd

Food for thought!

I like Hurd but I really want to see Ogletree get some playing time. We all know what Hurd will give us. Who knows if Ogletree will become something but at least give it a shot. Hurds a FA at the end of the year anyway.
