Tony Romo is expected to return to the starting lineup this Sunday in Miami after missing the last seven games with a fractured collarbone.
While speaking about Romo Tuesday morning, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the team's franchise quarterback has been "razor sharp relative to his classroom work."
"He's razor sharp as to the practicing of what we're trying to put on the field with our game plan, so that's just not an issue," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan's Shan and RJ show [KRLD-FM]. "He's in it and in it in a big way. He can spend the time really going over where we had opportunities, not second-guessing, but just breaking it down, for what we did against Tampa the other day, what we did or didn't do against Philadelphia.
"He's in it and he's sharp. He's also really moving the ball around good at practice, so all of those things make it feel optimistic to me."

I assume the final bone scans will tell the story on whether or not Tony can play on Sunday.

When do we expect the Cowboys to officially say he is cleared (or not)?

Jones is already acting like he has seen the X-Rays, so I think he's good to go, despite Garrett's "day to day" comment in yesterday's press conference.

I don't have a link or anything,
But while I was watching either espn or nfl network last night
they said the bone is completely healed.
I don't remember what the source was or anything like that,
however that is what was said on tv last night

I'm sure he's mentally into the game. My primary concern is his " game shape". There's a difference between 7 on 7 drills and getting hit by LB's , Lineman who surely would like to take him out....

I'm sure Tony would rather come back against the fins than the panthers.

Not that it matters...but it will NEVER sit well with me how much this man runs his mouth. Keep in mind folks...he talks up EVERYBODY...Weeden, Cassell, Randle etc..

Jerry bought the winning lottery ticket when he bought the Cowboys...and no matter how hard he tries to blow through it all....the earning potential is unlimited....and because of that...this organization has been and will continue to be doomed.

It is almost IMPOSSIBLE to lose 7 straight games in this league when you are NOT in rebuild mode...yet we did it. So the records of futility will continue to fall with the way this organization is structured. Romo's is the lifejacket for this entire organization...and Jerry knows Romo's declining health/retirement will signal the end of Jones chance to ever hoist the Lombardi. So you can be sure that as long as Jerry is alive...Garrett ain't going anywhere....Romo ain't going anywhere....and Jerry will run his mouth

I wish he would just keep his mouth shut. He want's to be looked upon like some kind of great talent evaluator. We are doomed as long as he is control of this team.

Compared to his replacements I am sure he does look razor sharp.

To be fair, he doesn't LOOK razor sharp. He just did really well on the written exam, got himself a big Jerry Jones smiley face at the top and a free ice cream.

I sincerely hope JJ doesn't mean Romo is throwing the ball "good" in the same way as when he said Weeden threw a "beautiful" ball.

You forgot the word "again" at the end of that sentence, but I get what you mean.

I think Jerry was talking about Romo shaving; not throwing. Lol
