Jerry Jones will not address media at the combine. A shocker.

It seems to me like he’s ’hiding out’ for fear of the national media who aren’t beholden to him asking tough questions.

He just wants some control over who talks to him. Not scheduling a formal press conference does not mean he is not going to talk to the media.
He’s done it for years. This isn’t anything new. Next people will be shocked Jerry isn’t actually making day to day decisions about things that impact players 20-90 on the roster.

The questions are tougher on the bus because there’s no 15 min time limit like there is at the podium.

I'd like to hope that he has finally learned to shut up but I fear that it's all being held in for one gigantic word vomit that is going to come spewing out.

I think many posters above have hit on a core issue for Jerry. He is currently going to avoid the national media and their tough questions as often as he possibly can. That is why he is skipping standing at that podium and being pressed on issues even though the vast majority of GMs do it. One less chance to be embarrassed.

I also think the questions that sting him the hardest are: 1) Do you truly feel you are the right person for the GM job given your history? and if so, why do you still feel that way?

If he was smart he would have just paid her, but we all know Jerry doesn’t pay anyone who isn’t already on the Cowboys…
"He said she Said" All women must be believed... bull****. I will bet a judge will throw this case out. No evidence.

According to the article, It’s Not like he isn’t going to talk to the media out there. I guess this way he can talk to his minions only and control the narrative and make sure he doesn’t get any tough questions.

Instead, Jones will be doing interviews with local beat reporters on his bus while he is in Indianapolis," according to 105.3 The Fan's Bobby Belt.”
Exactly. He can’t threaten the jobs of media in other cities so let’s not entertain those when they ask the questions that don’t put any shine on him/make him look foolish/incompetent. However, you local riff raff can come aboard the bus ….

If this is true, and like others I will believe it when I see it, it can only mean one of two things. First, all the criticism of how Jerry has handled the Cowboys the last year is getting to him. He's afraid any interviews he does will have a negative tenor. Or, his family is worried he is losing it and wants to keep him away from the microphones so he doesn't say anything stupid, like revealing the Cowboys draft strategy. Or maybe it is a combination of both. But keeping Jerry from teh microphones and cameras is like trying to keep a moth away from the street lights.

"Mr. Jones, you and the Cowboys have all the momentum of a runaway freight train...why are you so popular?"
Jerry: "A tough question, but fair..."
