categorically stated that " do you think my decision making is so fragile that i would say no coaching changes on friday and now change coaches 2 days later? there will be no changes at the head coach position"

so this is now not about the cowboys unfortunately, it is about JJs ego.

the definition of stupidity is to keep doing the same thing and expect different results.

get eady for WP as HC in 09

Yep, Jerry is giving Wade a pass.

Un-freaking-beleivable:mad:

He stated that firing Chan Gailey after 2 seasons was one of his biggest regrets and he wouldnt do that to Wade. If you read between the lines, he basically said, "My ego cant take being trashed by everyone for continually making idiotic decisions. I went out on a limb with Parcells and he got all the credit, not me. Never again."

So, yeah, we're screwed. :banghead:

That's the definition of insanity. But in Jerry's case, stupidity fits. ;)

It's a shame, but probably symbolic somehow of the Jerry led-Cowboys, that the team will open its new stadium in this fashion.

Hopefully the billboard used to market the team is a big picture of Phillips with some cheesy tag line.

Well 2009 will be another in a long line of dissappointing seasons. Thanks Jerrah!

:banghead:

Funny...why would you run a business like this? Is this really what he wants. 12 staright losing Decembers...bot even a single playoff win since 96???

Wow...the 5X Super Bowl Champs are now in the sam breath as San Francisco...oh wait, their coach actually demands discipline...that would never work though would it Wade?

Just wait until the FIRST moment of adversity next season. This team will COMPLETELY unravel before our eyes once again and we will have another disasterous season.

The fact is Jerry is too close with Garrett and his family to can him. He knows Garrett can't take over this team now, so he does the only thing he thinks he can do which is to let Wade continue as HC and hope Garrett learns something about offense in the off-season.

We are in deep, deep trouble.

i went to 2 games this past season. but i wont be making any trips next year, new stadium and all. i bet a lot of fans will follow suit and spend their hard earned dollars on something else.

Yeah, my expectations for 2009 are about as low as possible. Frankly I'll be surprised if we finish above .500

Detroit finished 0-16, but they didnt have the worst season in the league this yr, we did.

If Wade is still our coach come next season I'm not sure I can support this team.

They should definitely protest the garbage put on the field...

This also in on ESPN:

• The Cowboys suffered their worst loss in 20 years (a 43-3 loss to the Vikings in 1988) and are now 2-8 in their last 10 trips to the city of Brotherly Love. You can't blame all this on Tony Romo, who fell to 5-8 in December starts. (He's 22-4 in all other months.)

• After an 8-3 start, the Cowboys went 1-3 in the month of December, and they have now lost their last nine season finales.

• The Eagles scored on fumble recoveries of 73 and 96 yards as the Cowboys turned the ball over five times.

embarrassing...
