We are coming off of back to back 7 win seasons, and have 2 this year. Jerry says he likes where we are at now compared to those years. This time last year, we were also 3-2, and the year before we were 2-3. But okay boss....

In some ways he has a point . This team does appear a tad better than last couple years.

Remember two years ago we lost Dak for the season . And last year defense was even worse ..

So as much as I hate the old fool he often speaks the truth in a round about way attempting to spin a positive twist.

The fact he might be right doesn’t elevate our situation.

Personnelwise, we are better at several positions.

Guyton and Steele were the biggest question marks on offense, and Guyton especially looks like he's figured the game out on this level. Of course, now we seem to not be doing as well in the run game as we had been.

Defensively, I think we have several players that are a better quality than last year.

The trouble is IMO, and remains with these Jerry GM'd team, that we never complete the build. There is always a weak link or two. Right now, the two are the outside pass rushers and the cornerbacks. Some of that may be players and some of that may be scheme, but it's a problem either way.

Hopefully, Porter will help with the corner problem. Getting some players back from injury will help, too, since we've had to move Downs to safety from the slot. I'm not sure what to do about pass rushers, other than do a better job of confusing offenses on who is rushing.

Mike McCarthy was never submissive and people kept saying he was…

Thats why he resigned when it came to a new contract because he didnt want the “maybe he will maybe he wont sign circus Jerry runs”
