McCarthy was purposely coy about why Zeke didn't start. Dak said it was Zeke's decision. Then big mouth Jerry comes out and says it was a disciplinary issue. You don't put a vet on blast like that. Everyone else in the locker room understood that except big mouth Jerry. This is a drama-free locker room for once. Notice how all of the drama about this season is emanating from him?

Fans take Jerry’s comments infinitely more seriously than the players do. There are multiple podcasts with guys like Diggs, Micah, Zeke, and others literally laughing at the interviewer when asked if Jerry’s commentary has any affect on the locker room.

They know it’s just Jerry talking to talk, literally none of them care what he says. Prime example was the “QB controversy” line. Zeke literally laughed at the report and said “we know Jerry loves his marketing”. These guys aren’t dumb lol Jerry talks to talk, he’s not making things shake in the locker room.

There was no issue with his comments... NONE. He made it clear what happened and it isnt an issue. Move on, next... except YOU are all hung up over it.

I'm constantly amazed by how people think NFL players are these delicate flowers, where the slightest perceived insult or disruption to their carefully controlled environment will cause them to completely unravel.

Because everything that comes out of that man’s mouth is a joke. Hell he just said he’s gonna do something uncomfortable with OBJ. These players have learned to stop taking what Jerry says seriously. He’s a senile old man. Fans and other NFL watchers need to stop giving this man attention and he’ll shut up

In terms of dumb things Jerry has said this is bottom of the list, if anything it's Jerry/MM getting to do a good cop/bad cop routine, with MM coming out looking really good to the players in the locker room as the one who has his players back.

Hell, I just want Jerry to be coherent and not spout a paragraph non answer lol.

This is the way he is and will continue to be. So it goes.

Would you expect them to call out if they had an issue with him? He writes their paychecks my guy.

If that is the case why did McCarthy avoid the question & Dak tell a straight up fib about it?

Maybe Mike just didnt want to deal with it, and players never want to say they had any issue... again, Jerry made it very clear this was no big deal, and he reiterated it after his words to ensure media said exactly waht he said. So again, this is a non issue..... but here you are making a post.

Players that play in Dallas know they are under a microscope and get media attention tenfold over any other teams. It comes with the territory and they are more than capable of dealing with it. If Dak had to take a little ex-lax because he was constipated, it would be a front page story on ESPN. Now imagine Jerry having to talk about that topic....lol

Jerry probably needs attention from a health care professional. Smart money says he won't get it and we will see more of the same in the future. It's what he does.

Why should Jerry stop now? Jerry talking has almost no effect on the locker room. Players think of Jerry as that crazy uncle that says stupid stuff and that you learn to ignore. The dude has kept a non winning team relevant for 27 years by saying stupid things, no chance he stops now.

I'm sure Jerry's people have recommended that he keep a low profile for a while after that 1957 photo came out but he's fed up so you can't keep him down forever. He is going to make more use of his time in front of an audience and say even more crazy stuff than usual.

If you think anything Jerry says, especially about guys like Zeke who he treats like his own child, affects literally anything then you’re just stressing yourself out.

This thread is pretty weak my dude, not many people sharing this passion you have for Jerry’s comments. If you want to take issue with comments like crapping on Amari before trying to trade him go for it. But something as trivial as this makes no sense to get upset about.

The poster above said it best. If you think grown football players care in the slightest bit about this type of thing then you’re severely misjudging these dudes.

Yeah, I don't put my employees disiplinaries our there like that, but then again maybe it's motivation for Zeke. JJ has ways to do that. example.. QB controversy,
