Last night Brock Purdy threw for five touchdowns against the Colts on Monday night, then three more versus the Bears in a 42-38 shootout.
It was Purdy's second game in a row in which he accounted for five touchdowns. Kyle Shanahan called Purdy an "assassin".
No one complained about San Francisco giving up 38 points. No one complains about Chicago giving up 42 points. Last week the Seahawks outlasted the Rams 38-37 in another shootout.
The Cowboys are paying Dak Prescott to win shootouts. He is the highest paid player in NFL history.
Yet time after time he doesn't produce, despite having the best wide receivers in the NFL.
With NFL rules set up to favor the passing game, Dak keeps coming up short, unless it's against cellar dwellers.
The Cowboys have the best kicker in NFL history , if needed. Javonte Williams is pounding the ball against defenses.
But for the tenth straight season, Dak has come up short when it mattered.
The Bears shut Dak out in the second half. Every team that mattered shut Dak out in the second half.
It's not the defense that is failing the Cowboys.
It's their $60 million quarterback.

Dak has put up plenty of points. Since you’re bringing up the 49ers…

SF’s defense has allowed an average of 22.3 points this season. DAL’s offense has scored an average of 28.3 points. Would be a safe bet that Dak on SF’s roster would do just fine.

Guess what DAL’s defense has allowed this season? 29.8 POINTS PER GAME on average. This so-called “assassin” Purdy would have a losing season if they had DAL’s defense, seeing as how SF averages 27.1 points per game.

If you’re going to bash Dak while praising a QB who isn’t really performing any better, at least make a logical argument.

Hey, look everybody!!

It's the guy who said he'd QUIT BEING A DALLAS COWBOYS FAN if the Cowboys signed Dak to an extension before last season!

WHY IS HE STILL HERE??? Let's all point and laugh!
:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

"DURRRRR DAK DONT DO ENUFF, ITZ HIS FAWLT NOT DA DEFENSEZ FAWLT DURRRRRRRRR"

If Jerry did move on would you move on with Dak or stay with the Cowboys?

You already admitted that you don’t watch the Cowboys unless Dak is playing.
are you still having this fantasy in your head?

you keeping devising ways to convince yourself there is a chance Dak is going anywhere. He's not. And for good reason too... he shouldn't be going anywhere.

Why not answer the question?

You admitted that you don’t watch Cowboys games unless Dak is playing.

So, if Dak were to leave for another team would you leave with him?

Not sure why everything has to be in absolutes. Defense deserves some blame while also agreeing the offense has struggled in critical moments. Sometimes they are independent of each other and sometimes they compound off each other. Just was not a good season

Whoooooooooaaa, there hossie.

If you don't think the D is an issue, you really need to pick another sport, as you don't appear to be able to understand this one. I know you hate Dak, I get it, hate away. But, now you're just getting ridiculous.

I think it's a fool's errand to compare anything in Dallas to what is going on in Chicago or San Francisco. What's happening there cannot and will not happen here while Jerry is alive.

Those organizations went and got two of the brightest offensive minds in coaching, and empower them to run and manage their team and develop players. It's been almost 37 years since such has happened in Dallas. Shanny and Ben Johnson were also allowed to pick their staff, and when you're an offensive-minded coach - the OL coach and the Defensive Coordinator are the most important hires. In this instance, the hired DC put together a unit that allowed 29.8 points per game - the worst in professional football. That puts your team at a major disadvantage no matter who is under center. Both points can be true that Dak needs to play better and Dallas fielded a historically bad defense that put the team in disastrous situational football over and over again.

While I acknowledge Dak's shortcomings in big games as a pro, and agree that this should be his last contract here, he is only a symptom of the larger disease. Jerry survives every day by thriving off fans casting blame at players, and not the joker that assembled the roster and distributed the checks to do it.

100% well said

Obviously the Cooper Rush decision was the last straw.

Would love to get a coaching staff here to make that decision and not Jerry.
Thats the thing... Hire a GM> he hires a HC, the HC hires a staff..THE STAFF tells the GM what they need to succeed and the GM goes and gets it..change any player they need and im on board as long as they are all held accountable for the job they were hired for...crazy stuff.

Do not forget his three-decades long reshuffling of a front office that he never gets quite right. Jones' poor management has existed from Rowdy on up.
