we have an immobile qb at the moment...we need to be mixing in plenty of 1-3 step drops (to negate the blitz), we need to be mixing in some hurry-up offense (sprinkle some in, here & there), as well. in fact, we should be doing this every single game.
when romo gets back, he needs to secure the ball, and run for 7-8 yards; 3-4 times every game.
if you do these things every game...you force the defense to account for these additional elements...elements that are easy to institute, yet difficult to contend with.
i don't really understand why we don't do these things on a consistent basis...but i'm sure jerry will be along any minute now, to acknowledge my advice...
