Jerry on defense: We're evolving but there's probably more time needed than I anticipated

[Risen Star]

[Jarntt]

"probably a little more time needed"

ya think?

[Coogiguy03]

Just saw this on x, Jerry is always caught by surprise as if he's assembled the all Madden team or something lol

[ClappingCarrot]

"Evolving" means you're moving to something more complex and adapted.

I see the same team getting run all over and blowing coverages for no reason.

[Risen Star]

You're not watching bad defense. You're witnessing a defensive evolution.

[JW82]

Remember some were afraid of losing CP to a head coaching spot... I think he's safe for another year... yay. Maybe he'll be a star one day, but things are pretty rough now....

Same guy who said "we probably made a mistake starting 2 rookies on the OL."

Its the same crap over and over.

Good thing we have a very observant and almost mystical GM like Nostra******* to let us know about these intricate details normal people like us don't realize. Jerry ages like fine milk.

and here's one for Stephen.....

[Redline360]

At this point I wouldn't trust Jerry or Stephen to put together a competent HS football team

I would not hire either of them to run an elevator for me.

Jerry basically admitting they screwed up somewhat. And are now trying to fix it.

Yeah. Jerry's saying it takes more time than he thought. Can't say, for sure, what he meant by that, but the implication is he thought it would look better by now.

I think his gut instinct is actually right here.

Yeah, they would use "Puppet" string instead of cables to operate it.

Pokemonism

[John813]

Should fire the guys who thought the moves in March and April were enough then lol

[shabazz]

This is Pettines defense now......the adult has entered the building

Sounds a bit like: you aren’t watching this season to watch a SB contender. We are building to a crescendo in future years with a team built around a mid 30’s QB. That’s when this league will have its reckoning.

Full of communication and and culture!

Would rather see that than people complaining!!
