I knew it. The whole 'we lost and it's actually a good thing!' slant is going to morph into complete denial about the state of the team and our chances of winning even one playoff game

He said what I thought as well so don’t really get the backlash
Probably because we're tired of Jerry's talk. He, and his son, have the self-appointed positions to make it better. They've failed year, after year, after year.

I really don't want to hear what he has to say about it, unless it's along the lines of admitting failure and changing the operations. Otherwise, shut up Jerry.

The worst part about the butt kicking was they were getting kicked in the butt with their own boots.

He's just prepping the hype as even he knows we're not going to win next week, and he has to get training camp and jersey sales going.
Same results different year

Blah, blah, blah says Jerry. I want to hear the woodshed speech again.
I agree. The speech I want him to do is:

"With the current GM, we have grossly underachieved and have not gotten a Super Bowl, or even an NFC Championship for 27 years. This performance is unacceptable, and I've given this GM much more time than I should have. I am that GM. I am therefore resigning, and will hire another GM who I believe can do the job better than I can. I'll enjoy retirement, and will travel the world to beautiful and interesting places while I've still got some years left, and will not touch football. I ask that our players and coaches support the new GM."

And the League blessed him with the Monday Night slot for super Wild Card weekend. He has to be ecstatic to get all eyes on his money making machine in prime time.
Not a blessing; since revamping the format, starting with the 2021-22 postseason, the NFC 4-5 playoff matchup will annually be scheduled for MNF on ABC/ESPN.
Last year the 5th seed Cardinals played the 4th seed Rams on Monday night.
In another thread yesterday someone mentioned they heard Aikman say that is part of the league & broadcast networks contract.

Exactly. Blah, blag, blag, yadda yadda yadda. Jerry you got an average QB that has thrown 15 interceptions, he got completely outplayed by a rookie making his first start. When said QB was injured you kept him on the roster and sacrificed John Ridgeway. John Ridgeway helped shut down the running game. This made said QB more ineffective and continuing his interception streak. The defense was embarrassed by a 3rd string rookie QB and mostly backup players. The special teams suck.

And all this happened in a game that could have decided home field advantage for the playoffs. We came out flat, lethargic, and uninterested. Exactly the same way we played the 49ers in the playoffs. That's on the coaches. Again not prepared for a big game. If McCarthy lays an egg next week he needs to be gone, same with Quinn who's been getting shredded the last 4-6 weeks. Injuries effect every team but that's not an excuse. 49ers seem to be dealing with their injuries fine. But they have a real organization with better culture.

If Dak plays like this next week then I'm completely convinced he's a stat machine and not a gamer. He fails towards the end of every season. If he lays an egg then we need to start developing his replacement.

When you see Mike on the sidelines next weekend you'll know why he has a suitcase and a backpack.

I think I'm one of the more positive posters this boards has and even I have to admit this team looks like a one and done. Difference between me and others is I hope I'm wrong.
It’s a week to week league so I’m holding out hope. That was a pathetic display but I have felt for a month we weren’t going to fare well against that front

The Oline as it’s constructed now is problematic hopefully they do better when vita vea comes calling

Dak is just a deer in headlights when the line plays like it did yesterday

Listening to Jerry after a Cowboys loss is like listening to an opponent trash talk us. Somehow it feels the same. And his lack of command of the English language is unbelievable. He communicates like a teenager from the 1950s.

Every time Jerry talks, somewhere in an Arkansas cemetery, a high school English teacher turns over in her grave.
