I wouldn't rule it out entirely either. But I would say that the odds would be extremely long.

But I think the Cowboys do want to acquire another young quarterback and, at 24, Manziel still fits that description. And the cost to take a shot would be nothing more than PR nonsense, which Jerry Jones and the Cowboys already have in spades anyway.

But, having said that, I do think that Garrett and Stephen would again talk Jerry out of it, even if he was considering it.

It's always possible for a young man to turn his life around. If he were to show real signs of maturity, I could see giving him a look but he would start out as more of a camp body than a probable QB on the depth chart.

Jerry can never say "no" on anything he always dances around leaving a sliver of an opening but Manziel won't be playing with the Cowboys and may never see an NFL field again. He didn't play well enough with the chances he got, has a lot of off the field issues making him a huge distraction. No team is going to want to go through the Manziel circus, plus he hasn't seen the field since the 2015 season. A young QB can't afford to miss that much time and expect to develop into a solid NFL QB.

Agreed. It is a second chance kind of country. Manziel could earn another look...somewhere. l have nothing against him and really hope he turns it around for his own sake. Its possible.
