there should be a stat on how many times you are held and not have a flag called in like three or four games that's insane he's being held back in my opinion by the referees in a lot of cases he's also had the flu he's also been injured a couple times he is not been front and center enough for what he gets as far as hype and reputation so on that point I agree with some of the people saying here he's not been at least on the stat sheet or defensive player of the year talk been doing much lately...

However I remember the same thing being said about DeMarcus Ware I mean he literally was being called out for not showing up in the biggest game most of his sacks came in garbage time or against bad teams and all the way to the Hall of Fame so yeah I mean fans can have whatever opinion they wanted the guy but on the whole he's still a great player...
They'd also tag Ware for encroachment/offsides because he was lighting quick at the snap. Trash.

So play football like it’s 1992 now because of 1 week?

Our defense was bad because the offense was bad.

That’s how this team is built.
winning football has been played that way. You cant reinvent the wheel and expect to win in the trenches. I don't care what decade it is. We wont win any other way.

Micah has done little lately.
If you pay attention to stat sheets you might think he has done nothing but the man has held a lot he's doubled a lot and he helps the rest of the team because his presence itself is is a positive pushing plays to the other side.... DeMarcus Ware used to have this same reputation and I'm I'm sorry but the dude did it all the way to the Hall of Fame just like everyone said that Terrell Owens is nothing but a distraction and he dropped the ball too much still third all time in the NFL and he also has a yellow jacket I mean a gold jacket my bad.... Just want to point out how fickle fans can turn on players and you're doing it don't be that guy him being on the field helps the defense. Because he's gonna be doubled plus maybe tripled and chipped and he's being held a lot therefore they're paying a lot of attention to the guy... I get why you think he's not doing much on the stat sheet the ones you pay attention to but he's still relative in many ways...

If the offense plays better it’s a non issue.

It’s an offensive league. Just the way it is.

Look at the games we get ran all over and tell me how our offense did.

What's trash your point makes no sense I'm saying that it happens a lot for both players both players were unfairly being called ghosts at times on the field Michael parks is getting the same treatment he's being held all the time he's being double triple chipped they're beating him up and it's showing a little bit but I'm saying his presence on the field alone affects the events in a positive way and if people can't see that well that's just how fans are they're fickle they turn on a guy in a heartbeat..

Now to be fair I gotta be honest here I'd like to see Micah Parsons dedicating himself more to setting the edge stopping the run playing the RPO game a little bit better and stop thinking about the run on the way the quarterback he's becoming a headhunter only and we need to be more well-rounded and I'm not saying that DeMarcus Lawrence is a better player but tanks the better all around player it's kind of like comparing Barry Sanders to Emmitt Smith... That debate can be had that Micah Parsons is a little selfish and SAC happy and he does not dedicate himself to being a better run stopper we don't need him as a full time linebacker but we need him to do is set the edge better be more under control not pinched down too soon and go after the quarterback and leave your side of the field exposed to quick dump offs over your head RPO and runs..
That to me is what he needs to work on more....

Parsons had 7 pressures on 18 pass rush reps at Bills.

Just say you don't understand anything but sacks.
Want to be honest the Buffalo game is probably not a good game to compare people in past stats because they gave up on the pass and just ran the ball game they literally were getting pressured when they stepped back and they decided to run the game at 49 times,

so yea hard to judge MP on that game also considering the last two games he's had the flu and he got hit in what the knee or whatever it was in the Buffalo game we weren't even sure if he was coming back...

I wouldn't say a favorite but he might be in the top five for sure but there are defensive players that are playing better I know things have dropped off but Khalil Mack miles Garrett just to name a few guy on his own team was part of the conversation for a while in bland I haven't looked in a while but I can tell you right now he is not a favorite he's just in the mix in the debate..
He's literally the betting favorite

I don't care about bets I'm talking about the discussions being had by the national media the sports media our own fans he is not in my opinion the front runner... But again yes he's in the discussion he's a top five DPOY consideration therefore he will be part of the voting... To be honest I really don't care about this stuff I don't care where they rank Prescott or who's up for awards or who has us each week ranked in the top five power rankings all this stuff is just peripheral it's nonsense who really cares I don't even care about the Pro Bowl anymore it doesn't even have any teeth oh I care about is how we finish in the playoffs this year and then in the off season the all pro list those are important and the the way the entire league maybe sees players in the top 100 votes everything else right now at this point I really don't care...

Only way to eliminate getting gashed is for the offense to score early and often. Our defense relies on getting pressure and forcing turnovers. 3 of the 4 losses the other team jumped out to an early lead and ran easily on us and controlled the clock.

But one might say if you look at the stats that Dallas has limited almost every rb to under 100 yards bar last week. Means nothing when you look at the big picture as most teams run 2-3 backs splitting load and the vast majority of teams have played from behind forcing them to pass and abandoning the run.

Also the teams that have had success running the ball ran directly at Parsons for the most part and took him out of the game.

Jerry's comments are - as usual - wrong-headed, short-sighted and simple-minded. His greatest asset IN CERTAIN GAMES is as a pressure player. In other words, it would be sniffing out the run WHEN THEY ARE GRINDING OUT 266 RUSHING YARDS. 7 COMPLETIONS - WITH PRESSURE - AND THEY BEAT US.

I can't stand when someone deliberately insults my intelligence with BS. The fact that lemmings buy this stuff up...

The officiating is crap. Call it or change the rule. This subjective nonsense has a huge impact on the games. It doesn't help us at all that some other pass rushers aren't getting the calls. In fact Parsons has mentioned it. He's never claimed to be alone on this.

Yeah, absolutely.

He is a menace of a pass rusher. An absolute monster. 3 seasons in and he’s off to one of the best starts in NFL history among pass rushers.

If that’s the case, Evans and Clark should be LB’s on 1st Down with Bell being the Nickel - Bell has shown repeatedly he’s NOT gonna hold up as an every down LB.

I was in the camp of play Micah at ILB on 1st and 2nd down, and situational pass rusher on passing downs.

However, from the very beginning of the season they (DQ and Coach Jerry) have committed to having Parsons exclusively at Edge, so I thought he was locked in at Edge and the decision had been made.

Micah is an elite pass rusher, so really as long as the Lion is getting after the QBs and wrecking gameplans it's not much of an argument imho. Clark, Evans and Bell just have to get it done.
