Jerry on season finale: We'll be doing some things in our best interest going forward

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan didn't have a definitive answer when asked if he wanted to see Trey Lance play Sunday. "Overall, I'm real pleased with how (Cooper) Rush has played. ... We'll be doing some things (Sunday) that are in the best interest for our team going forward."

LOL!!! So NOW, Jerry and team will be doing stuff for the best interests of the team. You can't make this stuff up...

They might as well just give a monkey the white board and let him draw up plays on the sideline to keep things interesting. Outside of seeing some final reps from just a hand full of young guys (Tolbert, Flournoy, Hoffman, Liufau, Kneeland) I'm not sure what else there really is to see this final week.
I'm surprised Jerry hasn't floated the idea of letting fans bid on the right to call individual plays as a new revenue stream.

Judge, jury, executioner, head coach, general manager, scout..and owner. All in one, we have it all fellas. Why on earth would MM want more of this side show?

i swear i was going to type something very similar. Any decent head coach that has an ounce of self-respect would want no parts of this idiot

The idiot should just shut his mouth and just do whatever he's going to do without playing mind games with players and fans. Seriously, nobody cares anymore what spills out of his clueless mouth.

If as a GM, he is NOW doing things in the “team’s best interest”— what in the actual hell has he been doing all along? Things in other team’s best interest?

This FO makes the simplest task look herculean, and routinely takes the ordinary and makes them complicated.

Just a putrid combination of incompetence, ignorance, arrogance, and stubbornness that literally sucks the joy out of even caring about football anymore

Gotta love the cryptic Jerry speak.

With the injuries on the roster a lot of young guys got opportunities to play this year already. Hopefully we start Lance, get Deuce some action, evaluate a couple linemen, and give me opportunities to a couple receivers.

So whose interests were we playing for before this then? TF is he talking about?

OMG, most of the major decisions they've made in 2024 have been decidedly against the best interests of the team. Whatever they decide to do in the last game of the year will be inconsequential.

Best things? Whats that?

Hookers and alcohol?

also forgot to add father of a yet to be determined number of children outside of wedlock
Man, this story went dark, didn't it. The last I heard was that the judge ordered Jones to take a paternity test and what 6-8 months later. Crickets
