Assuming the Sanders' story is correct, Jerry had to know last year no way Deion leaves Bouldrt when his son has eligibility. He wants Prime for the clicks so he keeps Fat Mike as a lame duck, and then goes after Prime.

Ah those meds were good this morning.

If Jerry is playing chess it must be solitaire… and still loses. We need a real GM who has no time for games and does his freaking job.

I, for one, am tired of people covering for a person making a dumb choice, or executing a strategy terribly. They say... He plays chess, while everyone else is playing checkers. The phrase is just designed to make critics think that they've been too simplistic, but in reality, the strategy of the owner of the Dallas Cowboys has simply been terrible. Nothing brilliant about it!

Hey.... if this plays out I'll reluctantly give Jerry credit. Hard to imagine him having that much forethought.

There is no credit to give. @ShortRound already pointed it out clearly, why sign Dak if this was even a plan/thought, to which we all know Jerry doesn't plan ahead w/the Cowboys, especially at the last second? It was an idiotic signing at that juncture of the season beginning and only put himself/the team in a worse position than he was before. As title of this thread states, I doubt Jerry even knows how to play chess much less checkers.

my favorite recent quote was "the cowboys are playing checkers, while the rest of the league is playing football"
