Whole different scenario if they didn't extend Dak.

It's all so weird. We spent nothing on RB and DT, leave glaring holes in the team, and then resigned Dak to sit on top of the mess. Then dump McCarthy, who actually went 500 with a backup QB.

Don't resign Dak, and it could have been a young team in decent cap shape looking for a QB. Potential for a quick rebuild. Instead, a team locked into a top cap hit QB coming off his worst season *and* a season ending injury.
