Even Tony Dungy sang the praises of Fat Mike. I really don't get it I guess. I think the team was out there playin more for themselves than MM. We won in spite of JJ AND MM. Us against THEM thing. Huge mistake to buy any of the poppycock the media "experts" say. I love Aikman and Dungy, but all these dudes are wrong. They just don't wanna lose access to the team so they are towing the line with Jerry with MM. I like MM , I bet hes cool to have a brew with. But hes not someone who inspires men or leads. The game has changed since he won a SB. Its time for a younger more inspiring HC. I still think Jerry will beg MM to stay but after Jerry hung him and his staff out to dry, I am willing to bet he will resign as HC, walking away from the HC position. He will soft retire, until bout the time the Panthers come calling and he will be the new HC there. He almost had that gig a few years ago if memory serves.

the standards have been LOW around here for 3 decades. Jerry made MM and the entire staff lame ducks, NOW hes kissing their butts. I feel MM walks way from the circus , citing the stress of it and wanting to be with his family more....UNTIL the Carolina folks call him.

Might as well bring him back for two more years. He's proven he can eek out wins with a team full of UDFAs, which is what our roster will look like from now on

I think you can criticize Jerry for the clown culture and overpaying his "stars" but I will cut him some slack for not sending MM packing just yet. Maybe he recognizes that coaching changes come with its own price.

Smiling like we did something

Jerry is super excited that we have the potential to go 8-8. This is monumental for JJ. Just like the personal pan pizza, this is his very own personal pan Super Bowl. Sadly this is what so-called management has been reduced to.

Mike McCarthy remains unsigned beyond this season. Does Jerry Jones know what he wants to do? If he’s waiting to see what options are available to him I hope he understands McCarthy will be, too.

I think Jerry likes MM and doesnt want to fire him but also knows if he loses he has to but in these situations when Mike is winning and we look solid doing it, it justified his logic of wanting to keep him. The fact that Bill is in UNC, and Dallas will not go with a young coordinator, it makes it easier to self justify that there is no one else in his mind.

He is your Dallas Cowboys HC in 2025.
Jerry hates change and likes to be comfortable.
Change would risk exposing the two unqualified clowns for what they really are. He didn’t even want to fire Garrett but couldn’t sell an 11th season of definitive mediocrity.

He won’t sign a significant player from another team, but I guess I wouldn’t give tens of millions to a player I’ve never heard of. Wont do the work, but gotta be there to grab the glory. “You draft so well Mr. Jones” makes them overrate what they have. It’s a conflict of interest at a complicated level.

The worst part? A change in philosophy isn’t even a consideration.

They aren’t even close to being able to compete with the top of this league, and you’d think “football men” would be able to see that, but they simply think they are superior humans and everyone who criticizes them are uninformed.

Doesn’t matter. They are stuck in 7-10 win land with an upside of one wild card win each season.

It’s not changing anytime soon. There’s no real desire to do what needs to be done to win.
They won 12 three years in a row and probably 9 this year. . The playoffs is only thing that matters
