It's getting worse and worse, people.

Costa graded out as one of the worst centers in football last year, but according to Jerry, it's about "the mix" of players on the interior.

Basically, Jerry is banking that Carl Nicks and general improved guard play will make Phil Costa a better center. This is a risk.

My question is, why not have an open competition at center between Costa and Kowalski? If you're not going to spend a high draft pick on the center position, at least have a competition for the position, because it was obvious that Costa was way over his head last season.

Facepalm.

Yeah. Pretty sad. I am hoping Callahan will be up front with Jerruh on that

"He is a scrub."

Of course he does. I do too, as a backup. But I'll gladly sacrifice replacing Costa to enter next year with Nicks/Grubbs and DeCastro playing next to him.

I don't understand what they're thinking. It's actually depressing...

WOW, I'm surprised people are taking him serious here. What does he suppose to say. Jerry is just saying the PC stuff, he never says what he means. He can say that but then take a Center in the 2nd and that wouldn't surprise me at all. I wouldn't be surprised if Costa is cut in April.
Jerry talks all the time and the only time he is telling the truth is that split second when he isn't talking.

Where did you hear that? Everything I have heard coming out of Valley Ranch was they were planning on signing a new center. Sounds like Jerry was just being nice to Costa since there has been so much chatter lately of upgrading his position.

I'd have no issue with a line of Smith - Nicks (not Grubbs) - winner of center competition (Costa, Kowalski, Nagy) - DeCastro - Free.

In fact I'd be thrilled.

something I learnt form Jerry a long time ago, do not believe anything the guy says from Jan 1st to Dec 31st. Jerry Jones is like a politican, he's never telling the truth.

...would just wish that Jerry just stopped talking.

I'm not saying he isn't doing his job, but given the state of the team I would resist opening my mouth if I were him.

"Better to be thought a fool than to..."

Well we all know the saying. The suggestion is to keep quiet and let the results on the field speak for the organization.

Has Jerry forgotten you are only as strong as your weakest link? Open up that competition at every position Jerry Jones! Enough of this already.

And so it begins. Get ready for another off-season where we get nobody relevant and we get killed next year.

Coaches will determine who is playing. Costa may end up as part of the backups who knows but in the end it will be Garrett and Callahan who will determine who will be the starting center.

I'm already buckled in.

He wasn't asked specifically if he liked Costa. He made a point of mentioning it during an overall discussion on the young players on the line. He didn't have to say it to be PC.

Jerry has also said that Stephen did a good job with the slaray cap and they will be spending money.

What makes you think they won't??

If you're not going to spend a high draft pick on the center position,

Again, what makes you think the Boys won't bring in another center??

Because Jerry is saying nice things about Costa?? When have you ever heard Jerry say anything negative about a player??

Surely by now, you know that Jerry talks more trash than a drunk Iggles fan... LOL...

we are doomed.

You've been doomed from birth... we can't help you with that... truth is, most of us don't like you enough to try even if we could...

A cliche that's only true if you care about what others think about you... Jerry's got all the money any 10 men would ever need, he owns a high-profile football team and gets himself on TV all the time...

He's having a really good time, lots of fun, and getting steadily richer... now I ask you, if you were in that position, would you give a rat's patootie about how you were perceived by lesser mortals posting on message boards??

The suggestion is to keep quiet and let the results on the field speak for the organization.

Yeah, that'll happen... I like you, David, always have, but you really need to face reality here; Jerry's Jerry, and he's not gonna change... if you must swim against the tide, butt your head against the wall, frustrate yourself, I'd suggest that you find a good horse, a long lance, and a windmill...

I'm sure if you're persistent, you can knock that windmill down... you don't even wanna know the kind of trash it's been talking about you... :D

Are you in some kind of hurry to be the first to quit on the 2012 Cowboys??

Do you get a prize for that, or something??
