Jerry on Romo chemistry w/ Dez, Austin: "We really haven’t show what we have been working on, but it’s obvious there's a lot of confidence."

What do you think he's referring to?

Read option?
Hurry up?
Any idea?
Jerry jibberish maybe

I thought this was the most interesting quote of the night.

I think he is referring to some personalized audible calls for each WR, and how Romo will use these with Dez when he has one one one coverage.

What makes you think this?

I think he's saying there is good chemistry between Romo and our #1 and 2 receivers, and he feels that will continue when the season starts and the scope of the play calling is widened to include everything Garrett and Callahan are planning to do in the passing game.

Bingo! I agree! Especially with what Dez said about Romo sitting down with each WR and working on personalized audible calls for them.

I missed this quote. Can you share?

I read it somewhere tonight that during the game that they interviewed Dez or Romo and one of the 2 and that's what was said he say down with each WR and came up with audibles to their strengths it might be in the game thread but I read it but didn't hear it because I had the bengals commentators

If we can keep getting TOs and the defense hold up well esp in the RZ then I expect career years for Dez, Romo, and Miles. And Witten's #s will go down except his YPC which should go up to 12ish. And of course decent pass protection.

I think we've been fairly vanilla on offense. I don't think we really displayed much out either the 12 formation or the 11.

We passed the ball 28 times, and ran the ball 43 times.

It goes to show what the offense is capable of doing with a lead. If we can address the issues on the line, it'll be really difficult for teams to come back against us (assuming our defense is taking the ball) once we get to leads.

Against the Giants, I would expect to see more passing routes from tight ends and greater incorporation with Williams. Conjecture, but I'm pretty confident about that.

The best thing we saw in this game was 6 targets to Austin and 7 targets to Dez all within one half of football. Going through the two of them, this offense will be hard to stop. The real question is how will teams defend against that.

Romo and the read option. Well, as lousy as the line has played in the past, I suppose he is used to getting his butt nailed by a defender. Yeah, let's run that with the best player we have on offense.

I like that idea.

I also like the idea of lining every player over 6 feet 2 inches and 225 pounds that plays on defense in the safety position. That will confuse the defense.

So, tell me please....Stanford or Harvard? English major, right?

It was Dez, and yes, he did say something to that effect. More than he probably should have told in a TV interview. He realized this quickly and politely told Mickey he shouldn't say much more.

That didn't stop Mickey from stupidly asking another strategy-related question, to which Dez again politely said he shouldn't speak on that topic.

Sorry TD3 trying to hold my eyes open and typing from my iPhone I took my meds it messes me up. I apologize for the bad grammar. So now that you called me out does it make you feel better? See I was In a accident 2 years ago where I fractured my back and a month ago I fell and hurt it again. So they increased my dose of meds and I didn't sleep much last night as my lady friend was having a hard night. So like I said being exhausted and on my meds and iPhone doesn't always help. My apologies to you or anyone I offended.

May I have a decoded version that I can understand what Dez said please.

Sorry about your accident. I was teasing you.

Get better.

I don't know all what Dez said because I had the bungals commentators so I didn't get the Dez interview. But from what I read Tonight Dez said during the interviews that Tony has worked with each individual WR and came up with an audible for each one of their strengths so if they both recognize a certain coverage tony will tell whatever WR has the advantage and audible to a route that will exploit the coverage or who is covering that WR. Dez admitted he said too much. But Tony has worked with each WR for their personal call. Which I think is cool and really allows Tony and the WR to really be on the same page, and goes to show how much influence Tony has on the offense now. Hopefully I explained that better.

It's Jerry speak for "you aint seen nothin yet". Most of his comments can be cooked down to this statement.

I only saw what they showed in highlights on ESPN, but that one pass over the middle to Dez (timing play) was gorgeous...they said (on ESPN) that Tony looked to be on his game
