Not a matter of being a fan of theirs or not. As I said the things they are calling lies are things that are subject to change. Yes most GM stand behind their coach but when things do not improve or the coach has lost his team then you are forced to make changes. Same with a player I think Jerry did stand behind Carter more than I would have but in the end Carter blew it and sealed his own fate. As for Emmitt, Jerry has been criticized for being overly loyal and Emmitt clearly was past his prime and the money was still big and even in the article it said Jerry hoped that Emmitt would be a Cowboy forever and that would have been true had Emmitt retired instead Emmitt desire was to continue to play, thankfully he did retire as a Cowboy but I don’t see where Jerry lied

Jerry may be a gambler, but trading Barber would be a terrible move, the intensity he brings to this team is irreplacable right now. We need more players with his intensity if we are going to take the next step

Jerry is a business man and he knows how to sell his organisation.

What do peaople expect ? To share his plans for next year with all of us ? Should he say: "Hey you all know Wades on the hot set and i have my HC for next year already here and for sure it's not Phillips" ? That wouldn't be wise in many ways.

Same goes with the possibility of trading MB3. Should he tell everybody that he wants to trade for Miamis #1 pick and thus make it easier for others teams preparing for draft day ? I don't say he is thinking about a MB3 trade i just say that the statement by JJ has no value to me. Not at this point when you are preparing for draft day and FA.

If that was the case, Jerry would not have said flat out that MB3 is staying. He would have hedged and said "we will always look at opportunities that involve every player, but at this time there are no plans to trade MB3 or anybody else"

What he actually said, "No, let me be very clear, No".

You see the difference in the two responses? The first one leaves the door open to anything while the second one pretty much ends any debate on the subject.

Jerry is not going "Saban" on us, dont worry.:D

That is totally irrelevant. The situation is that Jerry was asked flat-out about trading MB3 and he said No, he wanted to be very clear, No.

This is not the dreaded "vote of confidence" that coaches get before they are fired, this is a flat out statement that we will not trade MB3.

No Jerry didnt say somebody else could get traded and he didnt say he was not going after the top pick, so McFadden may still be in his plans.

Jerry is not pulling a Saban here, I dont know how much more clearer Jerry can be on the subject, he gave a straignt forward answer and he didnt hedge in any way by adding "at this time" or "we will always listen to offers" or anything.

As an uncle of mine once said everything I have is for sell at a certain price. I'm sure Jerry does not intend on trading Barber but is there a price you would be willing? Not saying anyone would be give us a top 5 pick for him but would you do it for a top 5?

Honestly............NO.

I do not trade MB3 under any circumstances. He lead the NFL in broken tackles and inspires his teammates with his play. It is the intangibles he brings to the table that cannot be replaced.

Yea, you can draft somebody faster, bigger, stronger, ect....However, what you cant measure at the combine is heart, desire, courage, ect.....

What MB3 needs is another back to rotate with so he can stay fresh throughout the game and this draft is loaded with RBs.

How did you feel about Hershal Walker? I love Barber and I agree with what your saying but for the right deal you bet I would.

If a Hershal Walker type deal was offered (3 first, 3 seconds, multiple players), I would have to consider it.

Of course this was the biggest rape job in the history of pro sports.:D

Of course, Dooms, everything has it's price. If some team were to offer it's whole draft, or some other crazy thing like it's next 8 years worth of 1sts?

Who know...

Everything is for sale, at the right price.

Well I didn't read that. But I did read we are keeping him. Marion has still never actually started a regular season game, and who knows that may not change.

I still think we go after DMac with no mercy. And maybe not a bad thing...if it completes Jason Garrets vision which Julius was incompetent of doing.

he started our playoff game, and did spectacular

btw, Jerry's pulling another one over Wade, he's making him keep Marion Barber
