But I don't believe him. I think McFadden is a major backup plan. If we don't get one of the running backs we want in this draft, I think we still end up going after Peterson, but that is neither here nor there. My point here is that the Cowboys invited 6 running backs to visit valley ranch and I think there is meaning in that.

31 visits, 6 running backs.

I think he was genuine when he said that defense is the priority however. 5 cornerbacks were brought in for visits, 5 defensive ends, and 1 defensive tackle. We also brought in one safety.

We brought in a few linebackers, but I'd be stunned if we went linebacker higher than the 3rd round.

I believe the priorities are as such

1. DL
2. CB
3. RB
4a. S
4b. LB
5. T
6. QB

I cheated a little by combining DE and DT, but depending on how the draft prevails, I don't think you're going to see big investments across the line at multiple positions. I wouldn't mind being wrong though.

I believe we target running back in the 2nd or 3rd rounds.

lol... no they aren't...

Yes they are. There actions show that its not only a priority, but a very high one.

Jones said it " wasnt a must" which means they don't feel that there season rides or dies on them drafting a HB

Please look up the word "must" and look at synonyms. That being said, I think the word he used was Urgency. Either way you are wrong, and being pretty silly.

There is a difference between a "must" and a "priority"

A must is something we absolutely need to have to be competitive

A priority is where a need falls. HB is a priority. Offensive Line is not. He never said HB wasnt a priority

The first round will probably be like last year which seemed pretty smart to me. A list of players at several different positions ranked in order of preference and see who's there when our turn comes. They also probably have some trades verbalized with other teams depending on who falls.

Jerry's is trying to throw other teams off his real plan.

Go back to bed, Jerry. Find a young girl to take out while the draft is going on. Just do something if you believe drafting an RB isn't a "must", "priority", or "urgent need".
