I'm sure there's some undrafted free agent GEM that Jerry will hype like Ron Leary. :bang2:

This is Jerry's plan, give a big bonus to no name guards who have degenerative health issues and pat himself on the back.

Oh for crying out loud. Leary got a 9k signing bonus and 200k guaranteed.

what he did not say was
"After the first 3 rds"

OR

"After we go dumpster diving like we did last year"

The guard/center type tells me their looking for someone in the later rounds as depth.

I believe this team does not view starting guard or center as a need, but rather, backup guard/center as a need. Because David Arkin worked out so well for us.

When he our Stephen talks about safeties or any other position you are all ready, to locate Jerry and ship him off in a box to the sierra desert.

Now that he talks the O-line talk you all want, it's not enough.
We've drafted a ton of OLinemen in the last 17 years of losing, unfortunately, we're still sorry.

So some decide to take this quote as less than his word?

What do confirmation bias mean?

And there is another thread where Jerry isn't quoted but a reporter gives his interpretation of what Jerry said and people are jumping off cliffs.

You do know in 1979, we drafted a guard named Bob McWhiff

Seriously? :laugh2: Since I never heard of him, I assume he lived up to his name in camp.

Well played, Manwiththeplan.

Haha. No doubt he'll be rehabbing a catastrophic injury and miss his rookie season. Then we'll be told he just needs some time in the weight room in year two.

Then we'll cut him year three, but it will be no big deal because we snatched another late round "gem" out of the dumpster to replace him.

Good to hear that we are going O-line. Possibly in FA and the draft. I like it.

I'll reserve my joy and mirth until after I see something more than lip service and half-arsed reaches for late-rounders and rejects!

Guess we will find out in April but would not be shocked at all if a interior OL player is selected within the 1st 3 rds by the Cowboys. It is not as if Dallas has not drafted OL players within the 1st 3 rounds in the past including a 1st rd pick on Tyron Smith. No doubt some of the picks including those who were selected when BP was her like Peterman did not pan out but I don’t think the Cowboys oppose getting OL players as some here seem to think

No NFL team over the last 6 years has spent fewer first and second round picks on the O line then the Dallas Cowboys. You are what you are.

Is that true? Because that's an interesting stat. Or are there a lot of teams all balled up there at '1'?

Pat have had 2 OL players in the 1st or 2nd rd since 2006. I agree Dallas needs to add to the OL in the draft but the Cowboys have selected 5 OL players within the top 4 rds since 2007 including a 1st rd pick.
