Jerry is worth somewhere close to 14 billion..... 'A few million' to him is like you and me grabbing a handful or quarters out of a piggy bank.
People keep making this ridiculous argument. Go ask Jerry if he’s okay throwing away $4-5 million for no reason. It doesn’t matter what his net worth is. Rich people didn’t get rich by pissing money away for no reason.

In his defense, we don't have any LBers so he had to keep bringing out DBs. We went into the season with a guy with a history of neck injuries, a guy who has had spinal fusion surgery, and a guy who they only play as an edge rusher as our only LBers. That's why we have a converted DB playing there.
Draft steals Cox and Clark. I don’t know who we stole them from but the rest of the league is glad we did.

I mean the Cowboys had LB's called up from the practice squad he could have played yesterday. Malik Jefferson and Buddy Johnson are JAGs but they would not have gotten run over like Markquese Bell. I like Bell but he's a 205 pound safety. He's not a LB no matter where Quinn likes to line him up.

So what? You don’t have to write the check for millions to someone no longer with the team. People think Jerry doesn’t care about a few million here and there because the team is worth so much but people like him don’t get where they are by pissing away millions when they don’t need to. That money he would have to pay Quinn for nothing could be doubled or tripled in short order. Jerry isn’t throwing that away.
There's offset language in his contract. If Quinn gets a head coaching gig, the Cowboys wouldn't owe him anything, as a head coach makes more than a coordinator. If he gets hired as an assistant, they would owe less than his contracted amount due to the offset.

So? That’s not an issue. Hell, if a university can pay a failed coach $72M to leave, one of the most valuable sports franchise in the world shouldn’t blink at a few measly million.
A University, really? That’s nobody’s personal money. No one is so rich that a few million is measly because they know they have the avenues to turn that few million into 100s of millions so they aren’t willing to just piss it away for no reason. If you owed me $500 but it was conditioned On something happening next week, would you go ahead and pay me now or wait to see if the condition went your way? If Jerry wants to get rid of Quinn, he can just let him take a HC job and save millions. That’s a no brainer, even for someone worth billions.

I hear ya. But, not too sure I believe that wasn't intentional. I think that's what Quinn wanted. We drafted Overshown for that same reason. Quinn wants a fast defense that can get after the QB. So I believe having smaller LBers is by design. I've been wrong before though. Like my prediction on how this season would play out. :(

Dan Quinn singlehandedly ended his DC position on the Cowboys ad ruined his chances at becoming head coach for another team, with this horrendous game plan of his .

You’re doing the same as Jerry. Prioritizing money over doing something that potentially changes how this team performs going forward. It’s about sending a message that failure is not an option. That will return that lost money if he does it.
