just listen to this interview and soak in the fact that this is the man choosing our roster. this is easily the worst interview i've ever heard from him.

when asked about all of the bears fans in the stadium, the man actually said "i wasn't shocked by it because we sold them the tickets." :bang2:

it's a big problem having an eternal optimist at the GM position b/c he can never fully be honest about the deficiencies. the man is in complete denial about the personnel on this team.

lol, when doesn't he? I avoid listening to all of his interviews, he's a rambling buffoon

I don't know if it's denial moreso than he just can't evaluate talent. He doesn't know where the strength and weaknesses are on the roster.

It's kinda like Ray Charles describing a painting. There's going to be some uncertainty there.

'Excellent Smithers.'

A delusional egomaniac billionaire that has had no success under cap restrictions is destroying one of the proudest sports franchises in the world.

he can't go 5 minutes without mentioning the giants anymore. he is obsessed with them.

The optimist in him is not the GM, it's the marketer trying his best to tout the benefits of snake oil.

The destruction began on Day One when he fired The Only Coach the Cowboys (Had) Ever Had. Landry deserved better even if it was time for him to go.

Jerry looked successful in the early years as owner of the Cowboys SOLELY because of Jimmy Johnson (and his coaching staff). But Jerry couldn't leave well enough alone....oh, no. He had to flaunt his arrogance at that infamous owners' meeting that caused Jimmy to resign (or maybe Jerry fired him just to prove he could do it without Jimmy...yeah, we see how that worked out).

But he wasn't finished there! He had to tick off the NFL by designating Pepsi as the official soft drink of the Cowboys while Coca-Cola already had a contract with the NFL. I believe he did the same with Nike while the NFL had a contract with Reebok (?)

And we wonder why the NFL doesn't like us?? Thanks, Jerry!

ETA: I know everyone here knows all of this...I'm just doing some therapeutic venting!!

The surprising thing is it really has come to the forefront that Jerrah doesn't care that much for winning when he can still make lot's of money off idiots that will go to his stadium and buy his teams merchandise.

As for being a bad GM, he doesn't have any accountability for that role he plays. Jerrah the owner doesn't seem to care about the product on the field, just making money.

so how long has the organization been selling tickets to the opposing fanbases? i can't believe he admitted this.

.....what I've said for years about his "talent evaluation" prowess. That is, he has none. The man doesn't know he doesn't know- and to me, he has simply taken Al Davis Jr's place as the most clueless, meddling owner in pro sports.

Last night is probably HIS first realization this team is in big trouble. He suspected it against Seattle, and now he knows it. Everything else is just BS and spin mode, similar to a politician. Can't stand the sight of him......let alone the sound...........:bang2:

What does the Bears fans comments have to do with anything? Sounds like he's just answering a stupid question with a blunt, "you're an idiot" kind of answer.

What's all this talk about Jerry lately anyway? When we do well its Jason, when we lose its all Jerry's fault?

To be expected i suppose.. no matter how silly it sounds.

Hey guys I know I can be wrong on this and JJ right, but I think there is a slight possibility that our Oline needs to be upgraded. I won't say for certain because I am just a layman but Monday night it appeared that a light came on that we needed help on the Oline. Of course JJ is the GM and doesn't think so and he should know more than someone who is only a layman.
